OPTIMIZE_PARTS=1

Incredible. I went from 20 to 30 FPS standing on rnw 04L at FlyTampa Copenhagen in the virtual cockpit of the PMDG NGX. Default clouds and textures though but this is a keeper!

However, the effect of this tweak is only present during daytime. At dusk/dawn and night the FPS is back to where it was before. Anyone else experiencing this?

Can anyone confirm that using DSR 4x is working with no performance cost with this tweak?

Not on my system all though night time can take a hit but still much better performance. Gate A20 in the NGX AT 1900Z is 37-38fps with UTII at 40% cold and dark. I also posted a result in KLAX with the 777 at night. Also much better performance.

Do you have any other tweaks applied then? I've tested around at several airports with the NGX but the FPS is constantly better during daytime. Weird.

I use DSR 4x and the tweak works great- it will bring you much more performance!

This is one amazing parameter! I just installed P3D and the NGX and with this parameter set to 1 my FPS went up from approx 35 FPS to 45 using the exact same settings

I have applied the tweak and found my frames jumped considerably to average 175FPS...

Now, before you get carried away and slay me... i don't run AXE or PMDG etc... i use JeeHell Airbus software (along with REX, OPUS, ORBX etc..)  so my main screen (projector)  is simply outside forward view...lower monitors are simply for gauges... the aircraft model is PA320...

Apart from the ridiculous frames, the flight is more fluid now, so what ever this is optimizing on this lower detailed AC model, it has made me stutter free for the most part...so very happy with it!

And due tot he fact the FPS is so high, it becomes a moot point in reality eh!

Maybe this was already posted but since the major jump in performance is from PMDG 777 and NGX, it would be great if PMDG would consider running their products through an optimizer_parts tool (like Arno's MCX) before providing it - not that we would turn off the option, but simply to see if PMDG would learn what they could do to improve the performance as shipped.

Excellent find! Nice one :D

My FPS hogger - the RealAir Turbine Duke has jumped from 28fps in VC to 35fps in VC. Don't have any big jets to compare fps with. All other aircraft I get 60fps solid.

Thanks for this.

I use DSR 4x and the tweak works great- it will bring you much more performance!

Using the new tweak, I found that DSR is giving stutters in ASN weather, especially when in heavy clouds. It seems the best for me is 4x SGSS in NI and fps locked 30 both in NI and P3D.

I can keep 30fps stable in 90% of my flight. 10% is when inside clouds..SGSS has an issue there.

I went to try this setting out and found that somehow my system was already set to OPTIMIZE_PARTS=1. Has anyone else found this on their system. I am very sure that since installing V2.5 I have made no changes to the Prepar3D.cfg  Please confirm that is the correct place. I am starting to feel a little slow and stupid on this one!!LOL :p0503:

Are most of you people using prepar3d with unlimited frames to begin with and not locked? Doesnt this cause blurries and slower texture loading?

No my test was at dusk and dawn 10 fps better with this tweak - I seldom fly in day - PMDG T777 used in test
