Anyone try My Traffic 6 yet?

Yet he still charges £14 for a six-month ongoing subscription? Sounds like a stand-up guy.

He seems to be supporting it in this thread, as of yesterday.

Glynn, I apologize. I was wrong. Post edited.

no worries,

In the interests of a balanced debate I am going to spend this evening installing WOAI and may even get the card out again for UT2.

Understood, appreciate your standing up for it.  Well done.

After few days of testing, I must say I'm quite pleased with the product, especially as an old MyTraffic 5.4c user. In short - more airlines, better models and liveries. If I must to compare it to UT2 (I mean I must becuase I used UT2 until now), I think MT6 is far better. Spring 2015 schedule, newer liveries and more airlines, cargo and military airplanes, all of that is lacking in UT2. And when you add that annoying traffic reset with UT2 when you alter some option in FSX, MT6 is truly a winner. Also got better FPS with MORE airplanes than UT2! I even think that MT6 provide a lot more planes on crusing altitude than UT2, but must test that further just to be sure.

One thing that dissapointed me a lot though is there is no Air Serbia airline at all! Yes, it is pretty new airline (formed 13-14 months ago), but since it has Spring 2015 schedule B. Renk simply must include it instead JAT, and it's very old livery.

One thing more - how can I alter aircraft settings? I want to disable AI lights and animations. I couldn't find AI manager option via communicator like in 5.4C.

Current system: ASUS PRIME Z690-P D4, Intel 12900k, 32GB RAM @ 3600mhz, Zotac RTX 3090 Trinity, M2 SSD, Oculus Quest 2.

I'm obviously doing something wrong, I can not get the My Traffic to show up in the main fsx route folder to place it in the fsx scenery folder, I've tried heaps of times to point the path in the My Traffic configurator but will not show up in the fsx main folder, can someone explain why.

Thx Rod.

Why must he include Air serbia instead of JAT, why not both ?

The JAT liveries will still fly in the real world until the aircraft are retired so B.Renk is correct by including them.

\MyTraffic Professional\MyTraffic\Aircraft\

There you will find Manage_Aircraft_Config.exe and Adjust_AI_Sounds.exe , Burkhard really should put these in the Communicator menus, i have no idea why he misses small details like this and also the references to v5 in the documentation, the beta testers are there to spot these things, did they not point them out to the developer ?

Hi Rod,

What is the install path for your MyTraffic?  By default it's C:\MyTraffic.. unless you specified otherwise?

MyTraffic creates its own folder and does not, unless forced, appear under the main FSX folder.

You must manually find and add the MyTraffic\Scenery folder to scenery.cfg.  This can be done though the scenery options within FSX, or with SceneryConfigEditor.

SceneryConfigEditor is my favorite way of doing it and IMHO should be on every FSX users computer.

It's interesting to read the various ways people flightsim, and what can be a showstopper for some isn't even important to others.

For me, I'm a real world GA pilot and I've been simming for about 30 years, since the days of DOS and SubLogic. I've also been using MyTraffic since the first versions with FS2002 and FS9.

I want airports that aren't empty and skies with traffic that ATC can warn me about and that I can hear as chatter. I could not care less about what airline or livery is at a gate or what time a flight leaves or arrives. I just want plausible traffic in the correct geographies as background, just like in real life I have no idea what flight numbers or schedules are for air traffic near me.

If you are perfectionist and very picky in this hobby, like asking for a perfect AI traffic, ATC or weather addon, you are screwed tbh. I can even fly with default 737, default airports with default textures, and still enjoy the whole flight, just use a bit of your imagination to complete the immersion. Of course I don't fly like that because I can get much better immersion with bunch of fantastic addons. But, to be honest again, I can't fly without AI traffic addon, it's like driving a racing sim and participate in a race without opponents.

Because JAT is no more. JAT owned few 737s and these Boeings are now under Air Serbia. When you go to LYBE you can see only JAT airplanes with very old livery, like you rewinded the time in FSX to 1985 or something.

Yes I am well aware that JAT are now owned by Air Serbia, but my point is that the aircraft will still wear JAT liveries until those aircraft are retired from service, they are not getting repainted.

Don't believe me... phone Air Sebia and ask them.

A word of caution if you like WoAI aircraft.  They are not compatible with MT6.

I spent several hours trying to install MT6.  I did everything correctly -- multiple times.  But no traffic would show up.  Finally, with ideas from Burkhard, who never gives up, I went in and deleted all WoAI aircraft.  Voila!  Loads of traffic showed up.

Thanks for the reply Airernie, yes all the correct paths, but when it comes to adding to the scenery do you add the whole MyTraffic folder or just the scenery folder that resides in the MyTraffic folder? checking over at the Filghtsim forum there is a whole lot of confusion on installing this software, UT2 was straight forward and easy.

Thanks Rod.

Anybody could post a screenshot of SBGR (Guarulhos, São Paulo)? This program is cheap but firstly would like to see the biggest latin american airport ai traffic before decide. Also, how big is the download? Thank you!

Add the whole folder such as "C:\MyTraffic", or in my case "C:\FlightSim Files\MyTraffic" since I put all of my FSX related programs in a common folder.

FSX expects to find a folder named Scenery within the specified folder.

Also don't forget to add your MyTraffic\Aircraft folder as a "SimObjects Path" variable to FSX.CFG or none of your aircraft will show up.
