Rotate MD-80 Imminent release X-Plane

Featured Replies

Well I'm hoping it's going to be as good as pmdg etc but I will wait obviously and see what the feedback is, X plane is so in need of a pmdg equivalent simulation, there's nothing out there yet and I have them all, if this one or ixeg don't do it for me then I'm off back to fsx, I love X plane but I love to fly the commercial airliners, so I really am hoping this is the start and it will really be good bye to fsx .....forever.

Thank you

IXEG will definitely be a PMDG style aircraft (study sim), its taken over 4 years to develop and has highly detailed systems. Remember ATS are developing an MD-80 also, which will likely be a more complex simulation of the MD-80. PMDG will release their DC-6 in the new year and hopefully the NGX or 777 too!

Well Rotate confirmed the following

Yes. TCAS will come. And also HLD and PROG. These are known lacks, and will be addressed.

Nice video and some promising news - well, let's see!

So far i am definitely tempted as this nice plane indeed seems to have some great potential at least ...

Enjoy flying and happy landings.

Cabin - that is what I like about X airliners, they have a real cabin you can wander through. Most FSX developers do not.

Paul Grubich 2017 - Professional texture artist painting virtual aircraft I love.

How much is it? The store seems to be down right now, for me.

How does this plane simply not have TCAS... this might just be the deal breaker for me to skip this :/

I TOTALLY AGREE, if you are going to work hard on such product, then do it the right way, especially for 60$ worth of MD80.

Apparently TCAS is really hard to develop and code for X-Plane.

Anyhow, it was said TCAS, HLD and PROG are coming with the updates.

Going to hold out for a few days/weeks to see what first impressions (preferably from people with type experience) are, but if the systems hold up to the visuals, I'm sold.....  It's right in that sweet spot of slightly oddball regional liner that, if it is deep enough, could provide the X-Plane answer to the Majestic Dash.

So far I've been underwhelmed with the available XP study sims, but this and the IXEG B733 are a fresh roll of the dice, so I'm hopeful

I purchased the MD-80 and must say it's a great aircraft.  Hope they continue with McDonnell Douglas and make a MD-11 next.

I'm getting great framerates from in the 40's low to the ground with sky max clouds to in the high 60's up at altitude. GTX970 & i2600K. Take off from KLAS Glitter Gultch my framerates were round the 45 to 50 with World Traffic running about 2000 flightplans in the background from KSFO, KLAS, KOAK, KPHX and KDEN. I am happy :)
