Guys, if i want to update the "content" package too, what´s the order? First "client" than "content" or the order doesn´t matter? thanks!

There is no order that matters.  Just make sure you uninstall the old one first.

Well, I can see Rob is excited for this one with the fixes that directly impact the image quality he can obtain in his great videos, but unless there's a 'hidden gem' in the other updates that ends up improving performance in some area (smoothness, VAS, all the usual suspects...I'm not holding my breath) I think I'll hold off for a while or maybe skip this one all together.

Kinda looks like native VR support was the 'big deal' on this release, and I can see why some are really excited for that.  I have an HTC Vive setup myself but getting the performance (framerate) high enough in P3D to make it look okay (and not make me sick!) without turning absolutely all the detail off seems like it would be a problem.  And as someone else noted earlier dealing with the input devices while wearing the headset has been a challenge when I tried some racing/driving games and it seems like it would be the same for flight sims.

But I'll still look forward to hearing how others are getting along with it.

Cheers!

As someone who owns an Oculus Rift and has not yet tried/purchased flyinside, really excited about this update...

You will need Flyinside for now.  The native support in P3d is camera View only.  You can't touch controls or use mouse on the panels.  Flyinside is required.

Flavio,

This document says the order does matter: http://www.prepar3d.com/Prepar3D_Download_and_Install_Instructions_v3.pdf

When updating, install client first, then content and scenery.

I think I'll hold off for now...

Besides, I'm still learning the ropes with the FSLabs Airbus in FSX (Steam edition) and are awaiting the release for P3D

I don't know...just my 2 cent but i think P3d isnt for me. Too many updates and i wanna spend my time flying instead of cursing 'cause this doesn't work, waiting for the devoper to get his addon compatible or crossing fingers hoping that addon won't crash my pc. That's why i keep sticking with FSX. I got a lot of sceneries, many of them most likely will never updated to p3d and i figure LM,being LM a defense contractor, doesn't give a rat to be working with addons developer, thats not their problem but ours. I feel that we simmers need a sim that when an an update is available it won't screw everything up. FSX is outdated but it doesn't give you any problem,or a minor problem. Maybe i'm wrong...surely i'm wrong. Flying not tweaking too much. Regards

I'll jump as usual with this one, as soon as AS16 is updated.

Each new version gives its pack of optimizations, even if they are mostly undocumented (my observations).

2 years ago I was thinking of definitely changing my old computer to run demanding 3DA technology sceneries from FranceVFR. Things have changed a lot since that.

Thanks also to Rob's guide, 2 tweak values adjusted gave also a very nice enhancement with my low spec system.

I really can't understand why ASN is version 3.3.5 compatible and not version 3.X compatible.

ASN should be compatible with every subversion of version 3. The only thing that makes it incompatible is the version checker in ASN because it is too restrictive.

I remember in the past Rex real whether product, Rex essential plus didn't had this issue.

Wrong. ASN/AS16 is very complex. It has barely even been 12 hours. Cut them some slack maybe.
