September 20, 20169 yr I really can't understand why ASN is version 3.3.5 compatible and not version 3.X compatible. ASN should be compatible with every subversion of version 3. The only thing that makes it incompatible is the version checker in ASN because it is too restrictive. I remember in the past Rex real whether product, Rex essential plus didn't had this issue. Do you have ANY evidence, to support that statement? (If so, I'm interested...) ... or are you 'just' ranting? Best regards,--Anders Bermann-- ____________________Scandinavian VAPilot-ID: SAS2471
September 20, 20169 yr The only thing that makes it incompatible is the version checker in ASN because it is too restrictive. That's wrong. ASN hooks P3D, and when the addresses change (as they do in each version), the hook stops working. Streaming at twitch.tv/brynmwr
September 20, 20169 yr Do you have ANY evidence, to support that statement? (If so, I'm interested...) ... or are you 'just' ranting? I used Rex essential plus in P3D V2, 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4.Edit: And never it stopped working on a new P3D sub-version.
September 20, 20169 yr I may be wrong here but it looks like LM finally programmed the ground shadow to show the external vehicle from cockpit view! Garrett Frank
September 20, 20169 yr This document says the order does matter Thanks Jeff for correcting. I still do not understand why as they each stand alone but that's the the manual says so that's the way it should be done. It also states that in Rob's AVSIM P3D Guide on page 13!! Thanks Jeff!! Apologize Flavio for the confusion! Best regards, Jim Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! September 20, 20169 yr 1998 ? or before? Who cares? It does what it does and for what I need that it doesn't do, there's an add-on to cover it. I'm still waiting for a killer P3D feature that will make me want to switch, and buy most of my aircraft and scenery all over again...
September 20, 20169 yr Hi everyone, When AS gets updated I will update to v3.4. Can I save my Autogen folder and place it back afterwards, as I not only use FTX Global but also FranceVFR ? September 20, 20169 yr I just did a fresh install of V3.2. I think I'll stick with that until I feel I need to reinstall P3D and then upgrade. That's one hell of an update/bug fix list though. Great for us all.

September 20, 20169 yr I like the fact you can zoom way, way in and way, way out. There is also a camera for the front of the aircraft that can be zoomed in/out before going into the cockpit. I personally like the spot view when it is zoomed out to .30 (very realistic IMHO) but pretty neat when you can zoom it in too up to 510. Now you can zoom into those rivets on the aircraft and some of the eye-candy scenery at airports. Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! September 20, 20169 yr Hi, Don't you think it's interesting that P3D 32bit is still being updated with enthusiasm and apparent unchecked momentum when we all suspect that the 64bit version will soon appear? The assumption is that the latter is intended to replace its mature progenitor, but perhaps instead the plan Is to allow development of both versions to continue in parallel, at least for a while, to facilitate a gradual and stress-limited transition. This would seem to me to be eminently sensible and would be enormously helpful by allowing sufficient time for their commercial clientele, 3rd party developers and, of course, us to refocus on the new platform. Many of us, myself included, have not been affected significantly by the VAS constraints imposed by 32bit and are likely to be happy to stay with v.3.x for some time to come. It may be that we might decide to install the 64bit version alongside v3.x and move over gradually as 3rd party compatibilities and finances permit. I imagine that at first the 64bit version's appearance and performance will be not dissimilar to its predecessor so, if you are happy with what you have now, there will be no compelling reason to rush to make the change but would prefer rather to adopt the less dramatic unhurried approach. It could be a win-win prospect for everyone! Mike

Can't imagine anything working better.

September 20, 20169 yr Waiting for AS16 and ASCA to be compatible with v3.4 Yup same for me. Once they are updated, I might consider the move from 3.2. Just waiting to hear whether the UK2000 scenery works.

Hi Gerard: Dont think this is a good idea, since if you update also the Content portion I fear that several autogen files would be modified by the installer. For ORBX you only will have to re-run FTX Central 2 and let the program do the sync itself and then close, that's all. For VFR France I suggest asking them in their forums. When AS gets updated I will update to v3.4. Doing the same here. HiFi is usually fast in releasing a beta, at least. Cheers, Ed Yup same for me. Once they are updated, I might consider the move from 3.2. Just waiting to hear whether the UK2000 scenery works. I read in some other forum that UK2000 scenery is working well under P3Dv3.4, with no issues. But anyway, let's hear any comments over here.
