December 29, 20169 yr I've found this latest increment provided me with a bit of a performance boost and increased smoothness in the VC. No complaints here. Did they tweak the throttle response also? Seems like the lag has been reduced a bit (or maybe I'[m just getting used to it). December 29, 20169 yr Here's the official changelog: https://www.tfdidesign.com/index.php?m=devtracker&p=changelog&id=7
December 29, 20169 yr Auto throttle is definitely better, particularly on my takeoff run it got to take off power in a reasonable time. When advancing the throttle from idle there is still a delay before it rises to 40% N1 rapidly, but other than that the autothrottle seems normal now. Dave Current System (Running at 4k): ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-F, Ryzen 7800X3D, RTX 5090, 55" Samsung Q80T, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, EVGA CLC 280mm AIO Cooler, Brunner CLS-E NG Yoke, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS & Stick, Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant & Add-on, VirtualFly Ruddo+, TQ6+ and Yoko+, GoFlight MCP-PRO and EFIS, Skalarki FCU and MCDU
December 29, 20169 yr Looks like todays update has some nice fixes. I am glad to see they are so pro active in fixing stuff, even if they did sell us a still beta plane ha  Had some more time to spend with it again last night, and other than the VC lights I mentioned previously, is a really nice bird on the whole. It really is a true pleasure to hand fly! Allen, flight sim lover and AA-5 Traveler owner

December 29, 20169 yr vc lights at dusk/dawn is an issue inherent to the lighting gauge used. here's an easy and quick work around if you like... http://forums.tfdidesign.com/index.php?/topic/550-vc-night-light-workaround-thoughts/ Just saw your post over on their forums, that definitely at least helps make it flyable, thanks for taking the time to put that together! Talk about feeling totally lost when the sun started to set on my last flight! New plane, new systems, new VC, no real idea where anything is, and then bam, no lights.... didn't end well ha. I see you mentioned this was for FSX, do you think it would work in P3D? You don't need to go into great detail here, I'll refer back to your post on their forum to get the exact details. Thanks again, I'll give it a shot! Just surprised they were ok with their default lighting, seems a poor choice for a new release. Allen, flight sim lover and AA-5 Traveler owner
December 30, 20169 yr It should work for p3d with equivalent vc light fx file. R9-9950X3D 32G | RTX5090 | 3T m.2 | Win11 | vkb-gf ultimate & pedals | virpil cm3 throttle | tm boeing yoke | pimax super uw | DCS
December 30, 20169 yr Installed into P3D v3.4 and it works perfect. LOGO light is like a "double" dome light. Thanks kdfw  Quote
December 30, 20169 yr May have to try this light fix. I'm also wondering if the FSLabs spotlights product may be of help also?? I had purchased it some time ago but never reinstalled it on my new computer build.... Eric i9-12900k, RTX 5070ti OC, 32GB ddr5 5600 RAM, 2TB 980 Pro SSD, Titan 240RX AIO, Samsung CRG90 49", Win 11

I had purchased it some time ago but never reinstalled it on my new computer build.... It won't because you will have a CTD due to an conflict with FSLABS spotlight and Milviz_Lighting_Service.exe ;-) André
December 31, 20169 yr everyone has a different perception of what "smooth" is Right but I believe the perception also depends on the wallet. If you are on an old rig and currently cannot afford a modern one, you WILL get used to lower performance and consider it smooth. Otherwise it would be masochism in pure form.

If you are on an old rig and currently cannot afford a modern one, you WILL get used to lower performance and consider it smooth. Otherwise it would be masochism in pure form. I completely agree. But that just goes to show you can't always take someone's word on whether a product runs smooth or not. If it's coming from someone such as you mention (who's been simming on an 9 year old AMD CPU or something) well, it's probably not actually smooth compared to someone who's running a more modern PC.
January 3, 20179 yr Anyone have any idea when there will be a repaint for Midwest Airlines? I haven't bought this yet, mostly due to this reason, plus the issues it has and plus the fact that this airplane just isn't in operation very much in the real world. But, seeing it in Midwest colors could definitely put me over the edge and buy it. Regards, Kevin LaMal "Facts Don't Care About Your Feelings" - Shapiro2024
January 3, 20179 yr I did a test flight in the 717 tonight and even with the updates i got stuttery/choppy performance. I'm sure they'll iron it out, but the irony is that is was perfect before any updates were installed. Once it's sorted, I'll enjoy flying her. Great little aircraft.
