Well, it's not a car with headlights illuminating the road ahead like XP, unless we're talking about different videos. But it's a great start.

Sure you’re right, I didn’t look closely.

They look very good.

Jan and Feb vids have a lot of stutters for me. Is it because of my phone, or are the vids themselves stuttery? (Yes, I know they're early builds).

They are real-time lighting, if you look closer you will see the terrain is geting illuminated, but is hard to notice because the cars are too far and the sun isn't completely gone (not too dark yet). And as someone said, the cars seemed to be moving backwards.

One thing I don't like on their lighting system is keep using those floating light sources (even being real-time lighting, it's still odd).

They stutter.  I downloaded the videos and viewed on my PC, according to VLC they are 30fps.

The videos look smooth and aren't stuttering for me after they load, but the loading is very choppy.

The performance is worse than viewing a YouTube clip. It starts to play, then stops and buffers, then starts again, buffers again.

My Internet speed is slow but YouTube handles this better. I'm not going to assume this is a preview of bad performance in MSFS if I don't have a high-speed connection, but I would hope Microsoft can at least match Google's video streaming tech. They need to fix this.

Paraffin, to ascertain for stutters, first download videos on your pc, and only then play them. I think the first page of this thread has the direct links to them.

The shoreline video appears to show the base of the cumulonimbus clouds we saw in the Reveal Trailer. They look great from above and up close.

I'm also happy with the apparent speed with which water flows along the canopy in the CAP-10 video.

I also like the candid screenshots over the rural scenery. It suggestive of the type of scenery we can expect outside of the urban focus areas. It also shows the little imperfections in "autogen", but in doing so, proves just how good their (presumably automated) system actually is.

Props for providing a longer video this time. The two short videos that stop just before showing the really cool bits are positively devious!

Wish we didnt have to wait two weeks for more!

ETA: I like the subtle reflection of the instrument panel on the left window in the rural screenshot. I've tried to capture that effect with a real camera in real cockpits countless times, but the images never do the effect justice.

Impressive visuals! Love the rain/refraction on the windscreen.

Scenery is impressive, I think the "autogen" scaling issues are fixed in FS2020, I'm seeing what look like small single storey dwellings of the correct height in the "Feb Non Active Dash" video, something never seen with "autogen" in FSX/P3D.

MSFS Team, really really impressive! Especially the video of the rainy aerobatics did it to me!

But one question . . . What are the minimum hardware requirements for this simulator (if that has not been discussed yet ?!)

Once it buffers into RAM it doesn't have to be downloaded, but yeah... I see it now.

In the clip with the rain effect. After the plane comes out of the loop, there's a brief stutter at about 10 seconds into the clip. Thanks for pointing that out.

I'm excited for the visuals, but someone on the team needs to understand that stutters are not acceptable, no matter how sexy the eye candy is.

When I watched them on my iPhone they were smooth but took a little time to load.

No stuttering from my system. Could be buffering from ISP bandwidth.

Umm chill. They have no control over the thousands of hardware configurations that will be out in the wild. I have never seen a flight simulator run that smooth at that level of image quality. If there's the occasional stutter I won't mind. Let's not make such demands.

That last of the three videos is quite choppy on my MacBook Pro, even if I download and then play it. Maybe it's because of the video rendering on my machine; maybe because it's an early build; but certainly if that was FSX I would be playing in the config file right now 😂
