August 14, 20205 yr Didn't I recall seeing that we could use FSX aircraft within the new platform - using legacy physics mode or something like that? I noticed that my Duke doesn't have any DLL's (at least I couldn't find any) - so technically it might work? But not sure we will have any kind of access like that at first...

That’s true I forgot they had mentioned that at one point...it will be interesting to see what’s possible. August 14, 20205 yr The legacy support will allow only the simplest AI aircraft to be used in MSFS. Any FSX/P3d aircraft with animations, effects, gauges, etc., will have to be recompiled using either 3ds Max or Blender (which now has plug-ins which allow export to the correct file formats used in MSFS).
August 14, 20205 yr Man, I've owned the Real Air Scout package for so long I honestly don't know how long its been. I've flown it in three different sims and it is BY FAR the plane I have the most virtual hours in by a very wide margin. One of the absolute best values I've ever purchased, I love that little plane.

I fully agree and nice shot! I can't resist a few favorite "tribute" screenies of my own... Although now understanding Rob's position, I take back what I said about taking my money to make another one, as I'd rather see him healthy and happy. 🙂 Edited August 15, 20205 yr by Stoopy "That's what" - She

August 15, 20205 yr Coming back to the subject of the Legacy RG. Whilst I too loved the RealAir version, imho the Aerobask version in XP11 is at least as good if not superior and I wish that this developer will consider developing for MFS2020. It has a great flight model, lots of configuration screens and like the RealAir version, is a joy to fly and even adictive. GA and light Jet flyer.
August 15, 20205 yr Wow - Rob is back!!!! Welcome back. How I Evaluate Third Party Sim Addon Developers Refined P3Dv5.0 HF2 Settings Part1 (has MaddogX) and older thread Part 2 (has PMDG 747)
January 30, 20215 yr Apologies for bumping this slightly older thread.. @robert young If there's anything we can do to help convince to undertake this, please let us know! Perhaps a Patreon/Kickstarter type of thing so you know the money will be there if you make it? To echo others - in my decades of flight simming, no add-on ever brought me as much joy as the RealAir Lancair Legacy. It was my absolutely **always** go-to aircraft of choice.. Fun, fast, somewhat simple and just so well executed.

I never saw a developer put so much work into creating a truly complete package, with well thought out configuration options and a fantastic manual really going into every detail. Just marvelous. Their spitfire in fs9 was my favourite ever plane in any sim .
