Hopefully those will be rolled out to the rest of the world as well. I may or may not be allowed to say I was one of the first ones to demand churches very early in the alpha. There are landmarks like the Ulm Cathedral with the tallest steeple in the world which are badly missing. Very glad they will turn to this now and as I understood from the Q&A, Blackshark AI is implementing a mechanism to identify churches now. I'm seeing many cathedrals, in my area and some that I've visited abroad, be rendered as short and flat buildings which was disappointing. This will be a nice boost to realism if the AI recognition is good enough, though since it seems they are partnering with OSM this might not be an issue.
November 25, 20205 yr I would LOVE so see the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland properly done! These world updates are great though, definitely gets you exploring in the sim! November 25, 20205 yr Can't wait to see what kind of updates they bring to the UK to be honest. Vote to fix transparent sun visors having no effect on the sun glare effect in MSFS at: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/sun-shades-sun-visors-not-influencing-light-in-cockpit/691565/
November 25, 20205 yr I didn't hear any mention of additional photogrammetry though - Japan got a few great cities in the last update. So it may be that we are stuck with Southampton and Portsmouth for the time being. Not that they don't have their own charm....

November 25, 20205 yr The UK already has the most free add ons of any country on flightsim.to. It seems redundant for it to get special treatment. I would much prefer they chose something more neglected like SE Asia, South America or Africa. The UK also (IMHO) not in need of high resolution elevation data for the few hills it has here and there. 😉

Or instead of going out of your way to find something bad, you could have picked this as an example, and believe me, I drove through Windermere a couple of weeks ago and this picture does not do it justice at all, it is truly beautiful and spectacular: Edited November 25, 20205 yr by Chock Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

But when you are flying at 500ft or bellow in a fjord and you are surrounded by mountain like 6000ft walls in New Zealand, it's just jaw dropping, you fell tiny and humble. About indonesia, you have sceneries from another planet +thousand of small island and dense jungle, perfect for bush flying. I am from France and I hope my country will come after all that. November 26, 20205 yr I too come from the UK and I am soooo looking forward to this. I fly mostly in the UK for now, and unlike most of you, I tend to think that most of the freeware add-ons (towns-cities-areas) for MSFS look terrible 😕 (A few airports and single items like bridges aside). Colours that don't blend, ugly looking trees, terrible performance etc etc. I have been waiting for this update since release 🙂
November 26, 20205 yr Good news. I'd been thinking the UK might have to wait for some Asobo love. I really hope Edinburgh (EGPH) gets a makeover, even if it's only to close the decommissioned Runway 12/30. But the tower is iconic and needs modelled, and the fire station is treated by the AI as a depot for the fuel trucks. But then it might not get done as Orbx presumably will eventually release a version of their creation for MSFS. Belfast International EGAA certainly needs done too. Hopefully we will see many of the UK's famous bridges modelled correctly as well. The lack of 3D imagery of the UK when compared to the USA means every city would benefit form a makeover. I hope they are at least even-handed with the distribution of improvements around the country. As much as there is some excellent freeware for the UK, thanks to an active community, I'd still rather have it all 'native' than rely on 3rd party releases and the need for their devs to keep updating them when they break. November 26, 20205 yr Sorry to think different, but those "World Updates" are simply BS to me. They are adding 4 to 10 airports, improving let's say 50 minor airfields, add 30-60 POIs, and that do nothing in places like the US and the UK where you can find a thousand airports and airfields and thousands of POIs. Why don't just let the community to take charge?.
