May 27, 20215 yr I've tried it with and without the -FastLaunch option enabled in Steam but I get nothing new here yet. Actually when I try it with the fastlaunch disabled it still takes 20-25 seconds for anything to appear but then i have to sit through a few company marketing videos. If it turns out that leaving fastlaunch disabled is required to see the splash screen then I wont bother because that extra 30 seconds of sitting through videos negates the whole point to getting into the game faster, and so why should I want to add 30 more seconds of boot time just so I can see a splash screen...if necessary I'd rather just put up with the invisible 25 second startups I guess. But we'll see, perhaps it will still work with or without the fastlaunch option. Edited May 27, 20215 yr by hangar Dave Kalin Excel Classes Computer Lessons

May 27, 20215 yr No loading screen for me so far. I've updated .NET Framework (KB500324) and the Windows Feature update. I mostly launch via Addons Linker but neither that method or the Taskbar and Start Menu links bring up the splashcreen. Haven't used a desktop shortcut in months. May 27, 20215 yr I did a flight earlier and didn't get the 'launching game' screen. Just re-started and now I do get the screen? Very strange indeed. John

May 27, 20215 yr After installing the .net update I now get the loading screen. And snappier shutdown it seems.
May 27, 20215 yr I had no idea that people even complained about the delay? Was this talked about and I missed it. Funny how much people hated the "Press Any Key", but Welcome this loading screen, going so far as updating stuff to get it. I thought this is the kind of stuff people hated 🙂 Me was wrong, and I really like. At least now I know MSFS responded to my taskbar click to start the game now 🙂 Man, we are some funny people, we simmers 🙂 "Coffee, if your not shaking, you need another cup" Flight Sim Break Discord Channel: https://discord.com/invite/fCV62Ka2QZ
May 27, 20215 yr I use the fast start (no videos) and the new screen does show after a few seconds. Better than the old 30 seconds of nothing wondering if I double clicked the icon at the exact speed Windows expects! Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. That's why I launch from within Add-ons Linker - it gives a pop-up to say the sim is launching. At least that lets you know you pressed the launch button properly!😊 Edited May 28, 20215 yr by 109Sqn typo OS: Win11 Home; Mobo: Asus TUF Gaming Z690-Plus WiFi D4; CPU: Intel i5-12400 (Alder Lake) 4.4 GHzRAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 64Gb (4x16GB) 3600 MHz; GPU: MSI Radeon RX 5700XT [8GB] SSD: Corsair Force MP510 (for OS); 2x 1TB & 1x 2TB Sabrent Rocket Nvme PCIe 4.0 (one for sim, two for addons)HDD: Seagate 3TB (Data); Seagate 1TB (Programs), ASUS TUF Gaming VG32VQ1B Curved 31.5" monitor, 1440p, 38Mbs ethernet Fulcrum One Yoke, Honeycomb Bravo throttle, Thrustmaster Airbus TCA sidestick & throttle, Logitech Pro pedals, Xbox wireless gamepad (1st gen)
May 28, 20215 yr I still don't get the launch screen. Tried starting via my batch, or directly from the Steam library, nothing. My Windows is up to date, I got a .net update a few days ago which I guess is the critical one. Checked for updates to make sure there's nothing pending. Don't worry, there are worse things in live. The sim itself runs well.
