EDIT: The search doesnt come up empty, but only lists nordic procedural buildings and points of interest. Everything is its own package. So you'd have to search airport names and such. it's not labelled as world update. I'm surprised they didn't model the Svalbard Seed Vault, it's right next to the airport. I just checked with Google Maps, and Svalbard doesn't look much better there, with lots of cloud cover and a weird patchwork of images with or without snow cover. [Iceland is better with Google Maps, though.] Correction: Actually it isn't. I think you are right, there are no good sources available for the area or they would have updated it. But I think they should avoid places they can’t really improve for the time being. What’s the point to say they are releasing an World Update for an specific region and end up with underwhelming results? But don’t get me wrong, scenery-wise this sim is generations ahead of the other sims. We never got World Updates on the other platforms. They are actually very fast updating things. I just think they should avoid this, or at least set our expectations a little lower. June 17, 20214 yr Svalbard is an abomination indeed. The textures are bad but the LOD is also extremely short ( the ground textures pop up one by one just in front the aircraft). I couldn't believe it, back to FS2002, so I restarted my computer and checked that MFS was online to be sure ! Never seen something that bad in MFS so far. And the imagery is hard winter ! Was this WU beta tested ? EDIT the VFR map doesn't show anything but blue. It may get stuck on something else, if so, repeat the process. If even after restart it keeps balking on the same thing there may be a corrupt download you need to remove. I don't remember offhand where those go, but I'm sure someone will have that info handy if it's needed.

Did you edit any of the files for the TBM? Looping I think it caused by file mismatching. I restored any of my edits before updating today and didn't get any loops unlike the last couple updates. June 17, 20214 yr One single flight in Norway and everything was beautiful, amazing scenery, improved mesh, a joy to fly .... ...and when you are getting close to one of the most beautiful approaches I have experienced in FS, then,...then,...this....sigh... That´s Hydro Aluminium factories....I guess.... Of course, this is because Bing data is: So, basically, HUGE zones of lower than FSX quality, no retouching, no extra ortophotos to fix those big areas. Unfortunately the limitation here is Bing imagery, in many places including the US it is lacking quality, extremely old or with uneven colors and brightness. Others providers suffer from the same issues so really it is just that the technology is not there or too costly to cover the whole world. Where imagery is good the end result is fantastic.
