June 25, 20214 yr I hope Asobo and the hard working and respected third party developers do make a respectable profit (if not a 'killing') out of it. I help to run a small business, and I would like it to make a decent profit also. As far as MSFS is concerned, I know they have said it is a ten year project, but I can see it going on for ever just with updates once in a while. So I expect it to go on like Microsoft have said with Windows 10 - it will never be replaced, just continually updated. EDIT: Hang on! What's this new Windows 11 thingy? It seems like edicts like 'perpetually Windows 10' only last as long as the last CEO, or maybe the bean counters! Edited June 25, 20214 yr by bobcat999 Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). June 25, 20214 yr I hope some of the dev tell this to Lefteris over at FSL, they have not said much about MSFS and it would be great if they are motivated to get their products over to MSFS. Mark CYYZ

I think that is a generous estimate. 🙂 I'm feeling that by the time they get an Airbus into the MSFS market, the FBW team could have a commercial version of their excellent freeware version, probably priced at a third of what FSL will charge for theirs, and be just as good if not better, with a modest price for each model, included the CFM and IAE versions. In fact I'm not sure it even take 5 years if they decided to do it, and partnered with Asobo commercially (if they haven't already). As good as the FSL buses are...their history and pricing structure have me at a solid pass for their products in MSFS, even though I was once a customer in P3D and even painted a bunch of planes for them. Still, I welcome them into the MSFS community as I know a lot of simmers will enjoy their products. Who knows, maybe they'll tailor their pricing and adjust it to this marketplace as PMDG appeared to with the DC-6. Hoping their Boeings will follow suit.🙂 Regards, Steve DraGet my paints for MSFS planes at flightsim.to here, and iFly 737s hereDownload my FSX, P3D paints at Avsim by clicking here
June 25, 20214 yr Well, I stopped buying P3D addons even before I fully switched to MSFS simply because I knew I would switch soon. I imagine only those who don't intend to switch to MSFS are still buying addons for older sims. Tomaz Drnovsek My FSX Videos My AVSIM Gallery

June 25, 20214 yr Author Aerosoft already said sales of P3D had fallen off a cliff for them. In addition, Aeroplane Heaven also said that sales of P3D are "tumbling": Quote Sales for P3D are tumbling and much like it is in the world outside, life will never be the same for any of us. I also saw a thread in the P3D forum here on Avsim where people were complaining about 3rd party devs leaving P3D. It seems like there was a mass exodus of 3rd party devs from P3D to MSFS, and the exodus is still ongoing. i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM
