Regarding Your Feedback + Upcoming Hotfix

Hotfix 2 is desperately needed.

But also needed is a lot more info when there is a CTD so we can fix issues.

Also MSFS should do more checking of addons and display alerts if there is some incompatibility.

Quite a few X box X users on the official MS Forum are reporting CTDs, and they just got the program, and most haven't added anything to it. Something must be buggy in the program affecting both X box and PCs.

Just got a crash zooming into the map. Nice. Second time that's happened in the last 8 days.

Ugh!

Personally! I am off to watch a televised baseball game.  Just hope I don't experience a cable tv outage...

Perfectly said.  Hopefully we see an end to the never ending posts of doom and gloom and "I'm going back to P3D", "ASOBO have ruined my simulator" rhetoric.  It's a great job they're doing with a beast of a simulation.  Their responses have been timely and welcomed by the majority of the simulation community.  Well done ASOBO!

Bummed the scenery pop-in won't be fixed until late August, but better 3 weeks than not at all.

Please fix the bleached out "sunlight" Asobo. Its an overexposed feel to the whole world, like the sun is now a powerful white LED.

Good. Let’s see if the hotfix can fix the problems and revert the downgrade. And a big lol to all knights telling us there was no change. Lol gtfo

The sim must get more stable and have better error reporting. XP has issues and bland scenery but it is much more stable at least.

That’s why X-Plane is 10 years behind in technology and trying to play catch up.  The number of changes  and advancements between each X-Plane major version is laughable.  It’s like LR didn’t really do much in the last 10 years.  Now they have been lapped by MSFS and they’re panicking.

At what time has MSFS only been slightly better than previous-gen flight sims? Even at it's worst moments it's been massively better than anything previous for me.

I think you just confirmed my hypothesis. 😉

Ya' know......

Asobo is large enough to have a cadre of professional customer service people (and certainly, so does Microsoft) whose sole jobs is to massage us and smile understandingly no matter how atrociously we behave.

.. clip...

But as somebody who has been there, I have some..... strong suspicions of what they might be thinking at this point.

You are lumping everyone in the forum on the other side of the debate as the enemy basically, many of us never made direct remarks, only a few harmless pokes.

I can tell you that EVERY single gaming company on earth deals with this exact same thing. Nearly every company that has non-business customers has a forum where people act like it's the end of the word. Go into a cooking forum and someone is talking about how their Weber BBQ pit almost killed them in a giant explosion (and maybe it did). Visit an A/V forum and you will hear people disparaging Sony and others as a giant evil empire. Go to twitter and see how the latest celebrity is in trouble for doing X-Y-Z. If any company with negative press in a forum stopped a product, there would literally be no companies left. The only place you won't find this kind of thing is maybe N. Korea.

This isn't some isolated case of Forum-extremism, it's the entire world as we know it, but Asobo still feels fine...

Get over it is what I'd say, but aren't you the one that wanted us to prove we weren't being paid by Xplane...

Someone wanted you to prove a negative. That is really idiotic.

This is like the Israeli-Palestinian conflict at this point, except I have a feeling we're only at the beginning. Perhaps every person on each side of the argument should change their profile icon to the same color, just so we know which side is which...

Yeah I am going to look at my FPS after the hotfix and see what happens to them too.

I will gladly trade a few fps to get my visuals back to SU4 standard.
