Regarding Your Feedback + Upcoming Hotfix

Featured Replies

A/B shots aren't always working because there can be bandwidth degradation and some comparisons require refresh/restart which messes up your positional lighting, and so forth. We are also limited because we can only use screenshots we already had before SU 5, we cannot take new ones, so we have to try to match the lighting and various issues with a screenshot we may have taken months ago.

That said, there are at least 6 videos you can find on Youtube that are specifically about the LOD issues and in some cases the guy actually flies over the same area he already had video of in Su 4, and you might even find split screens of the shot.

This second group by and large remained calm and collected, and, most importantly, didn't immediately call for Asobo to be tried for war crimes.

It's a modern day phenomenon to cry as loud as possible on the internet / on social media and create outrage.

Working on a problem and give constructive feedback kind of vanishes....

It's a political wash of both sides claiming one side didn't do what the other side did do, it was both sides. Just like in politics, people are telling their own truth, not actually an accurate account of what occurred.

Anyhow, it will be interesting if people can try to maintain at least some semblance of normal behavior after this next patch.

We all often lack  humility and suffer from egocentrism and frustration management (at least I know I do XD ) . Hard to make forums (well,..our planet ) healthy enviroments for growing.

After reading this thread and the other long one, I'm having flashbacks to the flamewars of FidoNet...

It might be a modern day phenomenon, but it is certainly the only way Microsoft wants to know about the problems with their game, in telling everyone clearly they'll address in priority the topics with more votes. In other words, they are telling us they'll only be listening to the non-silent majority crying and voting isn't it?

I would also add Matt at Working Title to that with providing some insight and reassurance shortly before and after the first Hotfix was released. Im sure it wasnt his job but he explained to the extent he could what possibly went wrong when the first Hotfix failed.

Meanwhile, this is what MSFS looks like for me in supposedly it's "worst" state. I would love a true A/B test between the current version of SU5 and after the hotfix. Folks, please start taking screenshots and documenting the exact location, weather and time of day. There will be people who will say the graphics are worse then FS9 at the pace we're going in hyperbole.

No light (sun) source, no close up textures, no ground detail / buildings or airports and we're expected to believe your fake claims, even tough dev's have acknowledged the bugs and planned a second hotfix.

Hold up, you mean all of those issues were just bugs and had NOTHING to do with them downgrading the graphics so Xbox could shine? WHATTT?

There is no way that Asobo / Microsoft would admit to downgrading PC graphics to Xbox levels, so yeah, it's bugs, honest.

Intel Core i5-12600k, Nvidia RTX 4070 Super, 128 Gigs.

Maybe we can have a new Avsim forum section called: "Avsim members - who is right and who is wrong".

So we can have this forum back for useful discussions about MSFS.

Btw thanks to the OP for his valuable contribution as always.

Not intentional, more like side effect by design. I believe they already admitted SOME issues were due to trying to keep the code from branching too far out between the versions. Though others who have followed it more closely could comment.

I think there's more truth in this than some people will realise.
