January 3, 20224 yr Could it be that it's not an actual server-side outage? Being that it's beta maybe they were or are working on something? Could even be planned as far as anyone knows. "The team is aware of an issue where Live Weather is not currently working correctly. Additionally, we have received reports that starting a flight with Live Weather enabled may result in performance decreases and crashes. As a temporary work-around, we suggest using pre-set weather. We will provide more information as it is available." Just a thought. Edited January 3, 20224 yr by Jeff Nielsen Jeff D. Just curious, but I can't remember the last time the weather servers went down, I have live weather consistently on each flight. I fly on the US server every night usually around 8 or 9 pm est. Was wondering what time these recent outages were so I can keep an eye out for them?
January 3, 20224 yr So is this issue only on the beta version? I’m not on beta and can’t even inject clouds into the sim with a preset. Unreal weather only gives me clear and calm. I’m not complaining and I’m sure it will be worked out but I’m curious if the non beta people are having issues like me. What hour do they go down? Is it a specific utc time, haven't noticed myself but most likely not flying at that time. The last major outage I remember was when the ms game servers went down, not sure how long ago that was. Anyway, thanks for the response, was just trying to gauge how often this actually occurs without all the hyperbole.

That started about a week after the beta was released. It would always come back at precisely 00:12Z however - it was not a long-duration outage like we have had for the past two days. January 3, 20224 yr A class action lawsuit must be filed against Microsoft and Asobo for this travesty. My fleet of virtual airliners have been grounded since this outage and will remain so indefinitely. The airline is losing hundreds of thousands of dollars in revenue daily because the passengers want to experience real world weather and not get tossed out of their seats repeatedly due to Rex weather transition induced turbulence. This is truly an outrage! My pilots have families to feed, they need those Asobo servers rebooted A.S.A.P. Edited January 3, 20224 yr by NightOfDreams

Most are still running SU7 released back in November. The engine was perfectly fine before that. If they want to implement new features fully test first before forcing everyone to update. They chose outright during SU7 testing to shut down the beta early and wing it with the release of the update. That's what I'm talking about. Between SU7 and what's happening now, depending on how fast they fix this latest issue quality oversight is starting to go downhill. If it takes Asobo all week or longer to fix this weather issue the writing is on the wall. Something is seriously wrong at ASOBO meaning they should stop and address whatever politics is going on inhouse. Quit hacking on the sim when you clearly have people in house that don't know what they're doing. Release the beta officially that's out now and stop hacking on it for a few months. Get in house people training up and on the same page then come back to it. Reading the Official forums, the XBOX community is really up in arms about the issues they are facing. Your larger point makes no sense in light of the issue at hand. You often come in with these baseless doomsday scenarios. If this is a server side issue that cropped up then nothing you said was worth the time taken to type it. "If it takes Asobo all week or longer to fix this weather issue the writing is on the wall." Ooooh! So scary! one week and we can pack it in. MSFS will be dead and there will be pandemonium in the streets as we all demand our refunds....seriously? 5800X3D. 32 GB RAM. 1TB SATA SSD. 3TB HDD. If a company wants to hype and sell a product that has an online component, then they should have someone on call to give the servers a swift kick and get them running again regardless of holidays.
