At least some of us take it more seriously! All aspects of it. We have had that for years with predecessors. To repeat, we have had that with predecessors....... Please consider raising your sights! Anticipate that will get the topic locked. Will be a great end to this! January 2, 20224 yr Well see things have changed. Back in the day your word was just that your word and quality was a representation of you, team, and or uniform. For the millennials it all means blue pill and accept the matrix. So that is why they gotta gang up on us older folks who know things prior to the blue pill 😉 See if you never even had the option of the red pill period you would always accept it for what it is and always turn on the others for knowing something of the past they are not aware of now. Oh well guess things are changing. I had to be a bit cantankerous. With all that said I am sure they will eventually get it. But we will all be some well forged zen masters when they do 😉 Happy Landings,

Hopefully they'll get it addressed soon and do better in the future. It is also about development to get it all up to at least the level of predecessor sims + addons. A 2005 sim needed addons over time. A 2020-2021 sim should embody at a minimum all that was developed and added on to a 2005 sim because before the 2020 release all of that tech was developed and readily available. To ignore it has been and continues to be a shame. Temperature, 2. Dewpoint? 10. For now over 16 months without correction.... At least stop reporting dewpoint all together. To save face if for no other reason. Dewpoint > temperature totally destroys credibility! January 2, 20224 yr I don't know I guess I figure what, it's been off less than 24h and stuff happens on occasion. I don't see 'Live Weather' as mission-critical especially when you can use presets to tie you over, etc. If the whole sim went offline, I could see the reaction but again just seems hardly worth it, plus it's a major holiday worldwide and a lot of staff are taking a break. And do we really know exactly what broke to take LW offline? Does it really need a back up server, or is there something in the source that would feed servers that is the culprit? That's just my reaction and others have their own I understand, just can't relate to it personally. January 2, 20224 yr Fair enough, but I've never flown this sim even once without live weather. So live weather being down pretty much means the whole sim is down...at least for me. I'm actually a pretty patient person and don't usually get involved in the negative discussions here and there. But the length of this outage is really very frustrating. I'm a huge fan of Asobo, I think what they've accomplished is utterly astounding. It's a flight simmer's dream come true. But Microsoft and their devops/infrastructure...I'm less impressed. Somewhere at Microsoft, there's an anonymous face in the crowd of thousands of people who is responsible for troubleshooting this and fixing it. But it's his/her day off...and he/she doesn't care. It's typical of a large company like Microsoft. Smaller, more passionate companies who are still hungry would have been all over this today. Oh and BTW, when you're talking about downtime...24 hours is an eternity. The system that I work on has been down for 24 minutes the entire year of 2021. And even then, we had to have a post-mortem to discuss how that happened. Lol. Edited January 2, 20224 yr by nbhall68 Additional content

Live Weather / Real Weather is, for me, number one in the "holy trinity" that MSFS has brought to the table, the other two being satellite-accurate terrain and seamless multiplayer. A year ago he was probably right, but things have changed dramatically with each Asobo update to MSFS so what was broken yesterday got fixed today. I'd be very hesitant to link a video more more than a week or two ago especially if a sim update occured in between. You went back a year thru several generations of MSFS updates. To shut down further what you wrote here I updated REX to the latest version (6.0.2021.1217) and tried it out tonight. The video I posted was old but it was spot on the money with what I bought back in late November after SU7 was released with broken weather. Wish I had watched that video first. That being said the latest version released sometime in December of 2021 is no better than before in how it depicts weather. You made such a fuss along with others that I had to check it out and see if something improved in the last 30 days. So the argument that many of us are commenting on a produce we don't own or haven't tried recently is false. That being said we need a serious option made available when Asobo breaks the weather (which they surely will do again along with other things) and that will only happen with Asobo's blessing in the SDK. Until then static weather in FS2020 is just as good as what REX is doing. Just thought I'd let you know... 🤨 Edited January 2, 20224 yr by Dillon FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
