No it does not. At some stage I will try with a clean community folder bar the plane and the PMS. As I mentioned I have exactly the same issue with the DC6 so I strongly suspect a conflict with another addon. The GNT750 works fine with other planes such as the JF Arrow however.

So in other words, you are able to get correct ILS capture using the PMS GTN on other aircraft?

Yes. Except the DC6 as far as I am aware.

Anyone else find the cowl flaps work the wrong way round? I.e cylinder temps hotter with the flaps open

I use the GTNXi 750 in the Chancellor & have had no issues with the avionics during IFR & ILS flights.

I may have misspoken, to use the PC term for 'got it wrong'😄

The VS is ok, but I had a niggling feeling that I missed the ILS on my last flight yesterday.

I just now tested a short hop from EHRD, departing Rwy 6, IFR to EHAM, ILS Rwy 36R.

A C172 with the Garmin G1000 glass avionics picked up the 36R ILS & flew  down it flawlessly.

The C414, on the same route, missed the ILS.

I'll go & try some more test flights.

Took same flight as my earlier post using 2.1.29 - same result - absolutely no problem capturing the ILS.

I still suspect it's a combination of technique and possibly some community addon.

Remember, as in FSX/P3D - you cannot dive down through the GS and intercept it. You should be at altitude and speed and intercept from below. Going too fast will blow you right through the intercept.

After re running an ILS approach from EHRD to  Rwy 36R at EHAM twice , successfully, I realized that the original issue was Pilot error.

In the 1st attempt I had forgotten to engage the C414's NAV1.

I also noticed in the 2nd & 3rd attempts that you need to get the speed down when approaching the ILS zone, otherwise you can fly in & out of it fairly quickly, as vgbaron mentioned above.

I just tried the latest verion of the PMS V 2.1.29 and there is no change in the behaviour.

Seems that the PMS50 750 is capturing the gs sometimes in the Seneca. Maybe airport related

I’ve been using my home airport, KLVK for testing. For what it’s worth, it always captures the ILS, so long as I haven’t used GPS mode previously. If I use GPS course to get to the terminal area, the AP will not subsequently capture the ILS.

The idea that the issue could be an add on in the Community folder is always a possibility, but I would think if that were the case, the AP would never be able to capture the signal.

Don't stress over it.  Everything will fall into place eventually.

For me with the PMS750 I do not get glide slope capture. But I don't get glide slope capture with the PMDG DC6 either. I suspect I have an addon that is causing it. But which?

Was having problems getting the 414 to capture the GS on ILS approaches the last few days. I am on Beta version 1.60 of the AC and was using the new PMS GTN750 version 1.1.29. THE GS would never capture no matter what I did in flight. Reverting to version 1.1.25 of the PMS GTN750 solved the problem and it is now working normally.

Greetings,

Today I finally decided to purchase this aircraft.  My first time dealing with Flysimware.   I am so sorry I did.  I made the purchase and got the download link but can't get it to install.  I have been an avid flight simmer for years. and have successfully downloaded countless aircraft over the years with Xplane, P3d and Microsoft.  Never have as much trouble with a download as this one.  The installer is forcing me to use an offline dowload and after spending several hours trying to follow their instructions I have yet get it to work. I have absolutely no idea why this particular download is forcing me to use an offline download.  Besides that, most of the time when I follow the download instructions, the connection to Flysimware ware times out and I have to start over.  I dont know if anyone else is having the same problem but I wish I could get my money back.  I certainly will never buy anything from them again.  Needless to say I am very disappointed. I guess I feel a little better after venting but just posting this as a warning to others.  If I would have known this I would have passed on this airplane.

I had an issue getting the latest version of the installer working tonight…I keep getting an error message that my internet connection is not working and therefore I get sent to offline activation which also doesn’t work.

This is the first time I’ve had this issue, having successfully installed the aircraft several times.

I sent them an email and expect it’s an issue on their end since my internet works fine, but certainly annoying and not a good first impression for you.

Take some solace though that it is a great aircraft once we get past these issues.
