Thought you were serious. That would be too generous of PMDG.

I had the 737  PMDG , from the 600-the 900 models in P3D. Don't remember a great deal of difference in flying them, between one and the other.

There is no difference, only different models, thats just it !

cheers 😉

If PMDG wants to extend an olive branch to the community for the multiple delays, they really should do this special. But PMDG is too set in their ways in all that they do. Oh well.

Still no intention of buying a pmdg product in forseeable future

My guess and its only a guess but i think as they know a large majority of people are waiting on the -800 they will go fo $79-89 as another money grab

Seriously guys, we have come a very long way in flight simming, show this picture to non-simming people and 90% or more will not be able to tell if this is a real image or one straight out of MSFS... impressive

A few months ago, Randazzo said the 800 would be priced the same as the 700.  I assume Randazzo meant the 700 without the discount.  So that would make the 800, $75 USD, with no discount.

Best believe the 800 will be the same price if not higher than the 700. Thats a no brainer. the 900? Watch the 777 and 747 go for near 99$ to 115$ for long haulers They were 140$ in P3D.

I am waiting for the -800 like a lot of people, but if the price is too high, I might just go for this cheaper -600 instead.

I really don't understand the pricing model.  It would make sense that if you bought any of the models for say $75 USD, then you could buy the other models at say $20 USD each.
There is a lot of shared development between the models, probably 90-95%, so this would make more sense.
In the long run, they would probably sell more in monetary value over all, as I would buy them all to that pricing structure - at the moment I will only purchase one model, that's it.

History in P3D has told be the 600 and 900 are hanger queens. I will buy the 800 for ryan air and its the most used of them all IRL.

No, the new pricing strategy makes much more money.
a) They can "sneak in" the BBJ and cargo variants, which separately sold very badly (in comparison), and would sell even worse with the MSFS crowd (which average MSFS simmer even knows a cargo 737 exists?).
b) The MSFS crowd also does not care a lot about samey-looking variants, so if they buy, they'll buy one variant only (-700 or -800) and are good. To get those people to buy the plane at all you need to lower the price significantly, which they did. The P3D-base-pack price would be too high and miss out on a lot of MSFS people.
c) The MSFS crowd does not care about variants, so they wouldn't buy the other packs (-600 or -900) even if it was 20 dollars only.

Keep in mind that the pricing strategy is not directed at the AVSIM crowd, but at simmers that don't care or don't know that there are several 737 variants.

You obviously forget that there is no "777" or "747", but instead there are multiple variants for each. So they will obviously do the same thing as they did with the 737: They'll release the 777-200, -200LR and -300ER in separate packs for 75 dollars each (or so), and I wouldn't be suprised if they also sold the (popular) cargo variants separately (then the price of the pax variants would of course be rather 60 dollars).
Then the same for the 747.
