They should just lift the object limit they introduced and the problem should go away. 😉 maybe they know about it already https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/arrival-airports-traffic-and-fps-have-disappeared/552363 I7-8700k,Corsair h1101 cooler ,Asus Strix Gaming Intel Z370 S11 motherboard, Corsair 32gb ramDD4,, gtx 1080ti Card, RM850 power supply Peter kelberg

I have not been able to find a proper sensitivity setting for my Fulcrum One yoke. Just moving the controller the slightest creates too much movement on the aircraft. I’ll keep trying. Use FSUIPC, it's the way. Rick D http://g5flyer.tumblr.com/
January 10, 20233 yr Didn't read the whole thread, not sure if someone said it... you will fall in love with the sim if you go do some VFR hops. Take a GA airplane, fly around your local area. Fiddle with controls, camera views and things like that to get used to it. The sim shines at Low and Slow flying. Then once you are comfortable with that (take off, pattern flying, landings, the general way the sim feels) go fly something bigger. The sim is very good... the best we have ever had, and I have been simming since FSX days (also fly in real life fo what its worth). You will figure it out!

Older sims looked good at altitude and hence a lot of work went into developing highly detailed systems and procedures to use while flying an airliner at altitude. This sim, on the other hand, excels at scud running a Tiger Moth up a canyon and landing on a rocky river beach. It is not something people are used to doing, and in some cases they even get angry if you suggest they try it, as they are comfortable with how they always flew in previous sims in the past and want to reproduce that experience here. Its very true. The flightsim community is a good example of people resisting change of platforms - even for the better. Has always been the case. As much as I loved P3D and despite the fact that I had spent a small fortune on it over the years, I dropped it like a hot potato when MSFS was released. Despite its quirks on release, it was clear as day, that this was the future and I loved it from Day 1. Never looked back. Edited January 10, 20233 yr by ErichB
January 10, 20233 yr I don't want to read through all the replies and discussions on this page, although it might be fascinating. Switching software is never easy. There are always users ranting about "that garbage". Instead of kindly asking for help or a solution, they poor their understandable frustration into the net. Unfortunately, MSFS is guilty of the biggest sin a developer can make: insufficient documentation. I should rather say: No documentation at all. They seem to rely completely on Youtubers, i.e., the community and net search. Or they are really thinking that the UI of MSFS is self-evident? Even on the Xbox, where the controls are limited to one choice, the software is far from easy to handle. I wonder if this lack of assistance is due to the millennials who just Google every answer. Maybe that's the problem. And some old-timers like the OP cannot cope with this new style of finding solutions. Paul Schmidt We're fools to make war on our brothers in arms.

You know, the RTFM acronym is as old as the Internet. I suspect that it might even be older ! Maybe, devs have come to the conclusion that customers do not RTFM. Ever 😄. Totally as an aside, but I do remember this being one of the very first acronyms I ever learned, back in the '60s when I started as a computer op (oddly enough, I ended up my computing career writing the things, but for some reason WTFM never caught on) Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Why do you consider someone who has used a sim that was released just 12 years ago an “old timer”? That’s a somewhat derogatory remark. He hasn’t disclosed his age.
