I want to add a business jet to my hanger… what do you recommend? Anything approaching study level with good community support would be ideal.

Thanks Virtual-Chris for starting this discussion.  It has proven very educational and informative.

  • The longitude is great but, lack of cabin is a problem for me. I know some laugh at this, but it really impacts immersion especially in a bizjet, you know you're just flying a cockpit around wher

Don't feel alone! I totally agree, lack of cabin and operable doors is a big thing to me on the priorities list. MS/Asobo adding SciFi Fantasy Dune and Halo DLC content but we can't get oper

  • The CJ4 is a beauty... often overlooked since the Longitude was overhauled with AAU1 and became not just flyable, but extremely good. The CJ4 is on par IMHO, and (again IMHO) has nicer hand flyin

Hm, did you edit your link? I thought you linked this one first: https://flightsim.to/file/24803/no-tint-mod-for-longitude This one leaves all scratches etc. visible, the one above removes everything, so I am told.

You were told wrong because what I posted is the one I use.😎

The one tup61 posted is the one I use and keeps all the scratches and such on the windows. Works like a charm.

I would say Honda Jet too, I am loving it.

By the way, how can someone open the doors to the Longitude? 😄 It is a nice plane but many switches are not operational. I am more spoiled with the HJET features.

Well... I can count at least 20 buttons/switches/controls that are dead. And that's without counting the double ones and all circuit breakers. That's quite a bit imho. But it's not a real problem for me because I'd never use those buttons anyway (under normal operations).

I'll have to have a go at clicking stuff that I don't need or use next flight I guess, thinking about it the "Reversion"(?) display modes aren't in so that would probably account for nearly half of them.

CBs don't count.

Which is why I didn't count them. 😉 Here is a list:
MIC SEL (2x)
DISPLAY REV 2x)
COM 1 TUNE (2x)
PEDAL ADJUST (2x)
Unnamed switch underneath PFD
The panel above the PDF (2x, I won't name them all but each panel has 7 inop buttons/knobs))
BOTTLE 1 (and 2) ARMED
L ENG (and R ENG and APU) FIRE
CPL
Unnamed switch to the right of the standby instrument
STABILIZER PRIMARY TRIM
CONTROL LOCK
PITCH RECONNECT
FLAP RESET
PUSH TO TALK
PRESS TO TEST (oxygen)
AUX (lights)
HUD (and HUD PUSH and PUCH MENU)

I wouldn't call that 'not really many'. 😉

But hey, I think I don't even use 75% if everything that DOES work (I like to keep it all at NORM) so... I am not complaining! Would be nice if you could switch those buttons even if they are inop.

  • 1 year later...

Convinced in the future this will be the FlightFX Citation X, given the accuracy and true to life ops and detail they have provided in the Hjet and Vision Jet.

Does the real Longitude come with window tint on the cockpit windows or is this something Asobo did on its own?

I believe there is a tint. What it does not come with IRL, are scratches. Scratches are way overdone on all aircraft in this sim. Not sure why that is, other than to give a sense that there is a clear glass panel there; but it is not representative of even older aircraft in the real world. Unless savage zombies with pot scourers are on your cleaning and maintenance team that is. But I digress…😁

There have been no updates for H-JET for a very long time. Does this mean that the plane is already ideal?

Here is my list:

1. Citation Longitude
2. Cirrus Vision Jet
3. Citation CJ4
4. Honda Jet

Dead last:

Cockspur's Embraer Phenom 100

For me -

1. Flysimware Lear 35

2. Cirrus Vision Jet

3. Honda H-Jet

Don't have the Longitude so can't compare.
