I know some laugh at this, but it really impacts immersion especially in a bizjet, you know you're just flying a cockpit around whereas with the HJet etc, you feel more like you're flying an actual complete aircraft. I feel the same. Flight simulation for me is "mission oriented" and while I spend very little time looking around the airport or the aircraft the little I do spend before getting down to work is important to immersion for me. I hope in 2024 Asobo models the cabin and ensures their aircraft have working doors. MSFS 2024. I totally agree, lack of cabin and operable doors is a big thing to me on the priorities list. MS/Asobo adding SciFi Fantasy Dune and Halo DLC content but we can't get operable doors on default aircraft? 🤷♂️ It's totally backwards! July 8, 20241 yr Same here i like the Longitude but lack of a cabin is a big negative for me. Bruce Bruce Bartlett Frodo: "I wish none of this had happened." Gandalf: "So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."
July 8, 20241 yr The lack of opening doors is a big one for me, for some reason it really symbolises the beginning and end of a flight to me. Weird I know, but it just doesn't feel right shutting down the engines and just immediately closing the sim down.

In the TBM you can even walkt back in VR using the Controller (or if your living room is big enough you can actually do it yourself) and then open up the door by unlocking and unlatching it, like in real life.
July 8, 20241 yr If I remember correctly, Jörg once said that they didn't have opening doors because then people would expect to be able to leave the plane after the flight, but obviously that feature (although it was planned) didn't make it into 2020. Funnily enough when they introduced the gliders you could open the canopy on the DG1001 but that has since been removed, I don't know why they've made an exception for the TBM. Anyway, now we know that this will fortunately change with 2024.
July 8, 20241 yr Having the CL650 in the other simulator for me makes it very difficult to fly any bizjet in mfs , I would like to see such an aircraft at studio level in mfs it would be buy day 1 for me.

Yeah, telemetry data is one area where X-Plane beats MSFS. It’s what’s holding me back from getting a FFB controller. And I don’t enjoy flying in X-Plane so I really hope 2024 improves in this area.
July 9, 20241 yr What ever happened to "Eaglesoft" they were supposed to release a 64bit version of their citation jets for and PD3, but all but disappeared since FS2020. I maybe wrong. I maybe wrong. They are sticking with P3D and have no interest in MSFS. I asked that question on the P3D forum to their developer over a year ago on their possible new development for MS and they said no. Edited July 9, 20241 yr by JBDB-MD80

One thing for sure is I don't care that CL650 in the other sim is superior to anything in MS but at that selling price of $120 U.S. will be a hard pass for many folks in this market.

Unless they've had a change of heart it will still need a different data subscription if you want updated NavData. 4 hours ago, JBDB-MD80 said: One thing for sure is I don't care that CL650 in the other sim is superior to anything in MS but at that selling price of $120 U.S. will be a hard pass for many folks in this market. Add in the cost of XP12 as well, still worth every penny and far less than I have totally wasted on guff addon aircraft that I have barely flown... ... actually hoping FS2024 allows us to do some of the stuff the Chally does to be honest - FBO, Walk around, access gear bays etc.... A Citation X would be awesome in FS2020. Extreme Prototypes has projected GLJ Model 25/28 addons for MS2020, that will most likely be the only study business jet under development in future.
