Aircraft & Avionics Update 2 Beta Release Notes [1.33.3.0]

I've had t leave the beta. The cursor started flickering, after a while, if I loaded either plane. It continued to do so even if I loaded another plane. Restarting the sim didn't cure it. After opting out it's now fine. Has anyone else had this?

Yeah same, looks like the mouse pointer and Xbox dot are fighting for dominance. There is already a thread about this on the official forum (AAU2 beta).

Thanks for that. Thought it was just me and I've been fighting and fiddling with various mouse drivers. 😂

I will conduct some additional tests on the weekend but I am confident that, by the end of the beta, the first MSFS enthusiast-level large modern widebody will have arrived (free for premium edition users). 😃

Just flew the 787 around a bit. I'm not a real-world pilot or anything like that, so I can only compare it to other sim stuff. In my early and limited testing, I'd say the WT 787 is currently ~80-90% of the QW787 for normal ops (i.e no failure/abnormals). There are a few things missing, but given this is the first beta release, I'd say it is excellent for a "free" plane.

Visuals were always amazing, and now the systems depth matches the great looking model. No, this is not as good at the QW787 (yet), but it's really really good and most people will enjoy it. If you want a high-end PMDG/QW level experience because you really need failures or something like that.. you'll have to wait and hope .

How deeply do HD model the systems? Is it reasonable to assume HD would expand WT's work with deeper systems so that the 787 ends up close to 'study level' or just like it? Sort of like a split between two developers with one providing deep avionics and the other providing deep systems.

When will AAU2 be officially out for the rest of us? I'm mostly excited about the 747 and 787!

Just had an issue with updated 787 and FSRealstic.

When FSR is enabled Speed & HDG display panels are not visible anymore. Could someone confirm this.

thanks

up until now, I thought I had been hacked by the infamous "Dot Crew" hacking group. That is their trademark, an annoying white dot, just about where you don't want it.

Current system: i9 13900K, RTX 4090, 64GB DDR5 4800 RAM, 4TB NVMe SSD

737 NG Driver's latest thoughts on the AAU2 787 (video below), some excerpts/quotes:

- this is a very good ride, also various bugs currently and that is totally expected
- what 787 can do at the moment: a lot of work went into the aircraft
- FMC works to a very large extent and does what it's supposed to (some issues in certain conditions where aircraft is not responding as expected)
- how far flight simulation and this 787 has gotten, the plane does 99% of the things I'm doing under normal SOP operations
- 5 years back, this similar level of fidelity could easily fetch 30 or so euros, so to have this in the default sim is incredible
- 3rd party mods could make this even better
-
of course it's not study level
- level of systems depth is absolutely enough to enjoy the aircraft on a 10 hour flight
- ultimately what do I think? I really like it.. obviously some issues to iron out, but it's beta1
- when I flew the PMDG 737 in the sim, I rarely touched the studly level aspects that I'd be preparing for a check flight
- potential of aircraft's future: WT will surely improve even more
- addressing some comments on my videos: people only seem to recognize two levels of simulation: captain scam level, and study level ... 99% of flight simmers are looking to aircraft falling inbetween (when did people last run a triple hydraulic failure?) ... not everything is black and white. Even for the two study level aircraft (i.e. PMDG 737 and Fenix A320) they both lack some features that the other have
- most important for a SOP A->B flight in an aircraf add-on: good flight dynamics, good systems, very good visuals, EFB, etc (we are still talking about a computer game here and it's about the overall impression the aircraft leaves)

June 23rd.

Nice looking forward to the 787. Hopefully a 789 mod will be out same time so I can do some YPPH to EGLL runs!

Unfortunately I only own the Standard version of MFS.

It would be great if one day they made an affordable price for the upgrade 🙂

I would most surely upgrade to the "Deluxe" edition for the differential  price, or lower 🙄

This right here is the name of the game. I think it is crazy that people are upset because the people who brought us the BEST stock G1000 units in any sim/game to date because the beta lacks some random obscure thing like hydraulic pump 4 off while holding the ident button and clicking their heels three times and saying their is no place like home doesn't cause *insert random thing it should do based upon their extensive knowledge of watching youtube videos*.

These planes are shaping up to be the BEST stock airliners ever included in a game and will allow us to do everything short of failures etc to make 99.999999999% of actual users flights be able to follow the checklists/flows and fly them correctly.

But hey...its trash because I can't hit the intercom button and call the flight attendant in for another coffee refill.
