The P3D versions are the same plane, just different pricing depending on the P3D license. I understand that the MSFS version has more features than the P3D version. Although, I haven’t done a comparison as I don’t have the P3D version.

Big difference between P3D version and MSFS version, big difference. And no there are no differences in the two P3D versions.

I had the P3D version, the MSFS has way more features, not even close.

Logitech switch panel (battery, lights, avionics master etc) work fine in Comanche.

Also the radio panel (ADF, COM, NAV, DME) work fine.

Also the multi panel (elevator trim, flaps, etc.) work fine. But not the AP because the AP is on the GPS 430 and 530. So, the course and heading knobs are slaved to the Logitech panel but there is no master AP switch (the Z on the keyboard), so no basic AP controls are slaved to the Logitech panel. I suppose because, apparently, the Comanche has no regular period correct AP. 

 

I read where problems with battery switch assignments. But there is none with the Logitech switch panel, the rocker switch on the panel marked  BAT works in the sim airplane perfectly.

The Comanche is the only GA bird I know which actually has a period correct AP, the STEC2

Our autopilot is fully custom coded and does not rely on the default MSFS autopilot. However, for your convenience, we’ve connected most of the stock MSFS events to our code, so that you can seamlessly control the autopilot buttons with the same shortcuts as used in other aircraft. Take note that some shortcuts will have slightly different functions simply because of the design of this autopilot. Yes, you are correct. What I wrote above in my message was nonsense (LOL). My trouble was that I could not zoom the Comanche cockpit in close enough to find the "Autopilot Mode" switch mentioned in the manual. 

Anyway, the Logitech multi panel AP works perfectly. But the A2A autopilot is an old one. The AP switch on the Logitech panel will push in the Comanche "autopilot mode" switch to change the modes. And the Logitech panel HDG and CRS knobs will adjust the knobs two knobs on the HSI. And of course the Logitech panels large red LED's read out course or heading, depending which the knob is set to. 

Now that I found the "mode" switch on the A2A panel. I can follow the A2A manual and operate the AP. With mouse or Logitech panel.

Thanks for correcting me. It took me awhile to figure out this old AP.

and if, by any chance, you hear a bip bip (and you will) thats entirely normal. The quaint STEC does not spare you to trim on the vertical hold mode.

An issue related to the P3D grotesque EULA . Both versions are identical.

I have found one major issue so far; once you've flown this and seen how a plane can feel and behave in MSFS, it's extremely difficult to get into other planes and not be disappointed 😅

Really enjoying this aircraft. Very smooth, fluid & realistic.

I thought I read somewhere that someone had flown an ILS approach in the Comanche, but can't find anything in the Manual on that.

Can it be done in the absence of an APPR button on the AP, & if so , what are the steps taken?

A manual ILS approach does not require a manual..😉
