December 6, 20232 yr Just wanted to start a thread to see what people think about this update.ย Not sure if we have some real world Cirrus pilots around here but I for one am impressed.ย The flight model and new interior is what got me. The heaviness of the nose (with so much weight compared to the rear of the plane) and the feel of takeoff/landings shows real effort was put into this one.ย I believe Cirrus was involved with this update.ย My only gripe is Asobo's continued trend of non-opening doors which says allot about how good this is.๐บย Edited December 6, 20232 yr by Dillon FS2020ย Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11ย Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VRย
December 6, 20232 yr I loved the original Cirrus, likely my most often used default GA.ย This one is a very nice improvement, being able to type things into the G1000 is much appreciated. December 6, 20232 yr I like it a lot...aside from the billion textures haha.ย I also picked up the Boris audioworks SR22 sound which I highly recommend.ย I'm not sure if he has any turbo sounds though. My other two wishlist items would be a 4 bladed prop and the cool opening doors. |ย My Liveriesย | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p | ย ย

The cargo door both of the butterfly cockpit door and even the little engine hatch or the parachute handle everything is design as if it was meant to be open and admire but it doesnโt open๐ข. Hope it comes latter Beside that I looove this plane really, since it came out in the SU14Beta I havenโt flown anything else, from the 3D model to the system and flight model everything is great. It fly accurate to the number and it feels right, the correct nose down attitude on final for exemple. Hand downย the best default plane in MSFS to me!!! I customized the flight_model.cfg though to makeย the nose wheel free castering as in real life and to give it nose UP pitch on the ground like you can see most SR22 having, Iโm still fine tuning the suspension and might share it on flightsim.to when Iโm happy with it Edited December 6, 20232 yr by cyril972

Those last two words mean you can be confident that it's very high quality in all areas.ย but yes, the doors not being openable is a strange one, given the otherwise universal high quality. Perhaps MS specified "don't allow the doors to open, we might get sued if a simmer falls out!". EDIT: D'you know what? Let's just ask Matt!ย @MattNischan - why do the doors not open, sir? I'm 51 and getting into the plane via the air intake is playing havoc with my knees ๐ Edited December 6, 20232 yr by JYW Billย ๐FS2024 โขย Currently in 'GA mode' :ย A2A Comanche 2024 & Aerostar โข Black Square C208, Bonanzas, Barons, TBM850, Dukes โขย COWS DA40 & DA42 โข FSW Legacy, C24R Sierra & C414 โข Echo Falco F8L โข FFX HJET, Visionjet and P180 2024 โข Got Friends A32 Vixxen โข FSReborn Sirius TL3000, Sting S4 and Piper M500 โข Flyboy Rans S6S โข Skyward DA50RG โข SWS Zenith CH701, RV-8, RV-10, RV-14, PC12ย โข Milviz C310Rย โข Air Foil Labs Bristell B23ย TrackIR โขย BeyondATCย โข PMS GTN Payware โข RealTurbย โข Axis & Ohsย โข FS Realistic Pro9800X3D โข RTX 3080 โข 64GB DDR5-6000NPPL licence holder in the UK
December 6, 20232 yr I had a great flight in this plane last night. It handles really well I thought, nice and smooth even when flying it from outside with the drone cam over some nice landscapes. December 6, 20232 yr I just want to make sure, maybe I missed it. Does the new SR22 completely replace the original version. I tried the original one when the sim was just released but then moved on to larger turboprops and twins. I thought it would be treated as separate model. I want to give the new model a try again but I can only find one SR22 in my hanger. Johan Pienaar ย

If you've updated to SU14 what you are seeing in the hanger is the new model (delete those old repaints).ย Flightsim.to should take the old repaints of the Cirrus down as to not confuse people later on.ย All thoseย old paints don't work with anything anymore.
