How is everyone setting up their yokes and throttles? It's not just plug and play is it? I've got spad.next profile I downloaded for the 737 so haven't set up a new profile in a long time.

I actually don't think that it is their mail server. I can login to my account on PMDG.com but there is no download link there either. It just says Order Completed and nothing else. It seems more like a problem with whatever system processes orders and issues the download links.

The email server then probably piggybacks onto the backend of that where it also could act as a point of failure/degradation.

Many similar reports, myself included, on PMDG Forum. They (PMDG) actually said that they increased server capacity for downloads in anticipation but “mail is something that is difficult to scale” or some blather similar.

Mail IS NOT hard to scale.  Klunky back end DRM systems are.

Same here, coming up on 2 hrs for the download email. Definitely not happy after waiting all day for it to be released.

So...now I'm cruising in the WT78X KLAX - KORD. 

Hopefully, I'll be able to download and install tomorrow.

 I cannot even get past the code section, what a let down. 

I decided to get it!

The purchase and download went very smoothly for me; about 8 minutes from the time I purchased until I had it downloaded, completed about 5 minutes ago. Is it possible that spam folders or pop-up blockers are stopping preventing some from completing the process. Also, not to note, the spinning wheel did go for about 1 minute or so before the download began.

Just got the link after about 2 hours 

Emails finally arrived but now onto the 2nd part waiting for it to accept the code.

why does it need to be a e-mail? Just apply it to our accounts like every other word not allowed store front.

I get the excitement, but I never understand why people, who have waited years and years for a particular addon, immediately try and purchase and download a product the second it goes live. Every knows it will take much longer to get flying compared to just waiting one more day, to let the servers cool off. I’ve seen a lot of frustrated folks, and rightfully so, I get it — but why not just wait a few more hours or just one more day? Personally, I’m going to wait a week or two because in all my years of buying their products, which are great, there’s usually a few quick update patches that come relatively fast after launch.

Mail is not difficult to scale. I work in email marketing and we can send 100 Million emails per hour. They just chose the cheapiest word not allowed provider they could find or they are sending emails out manually via outlook. amateurs thats it.

Those 20k purchases or let it be 200k are small numbers. very small.
