PMDG 777 Released

Recommended Posts

Just completed my delivery flight KPAE - KEWR.  Its a gem of a plane.  handles beautifully and on the RNAVZ22L it was very easy to hold centerline and gentle in the flare under mild crosswind.  I know very little about the systems in the 777 but the electronics aren't exactly alien if you're coming from the NG. Now comes the learning!

Enjoy the new bird everyone and good night!

took few hours to get the download link but this 77w is a clear winner.  they even got the cockpit night lighting pretty much perfect.

the vc eyepoint needs a little adjustment, tho.

Whichever fool complained on Reddit about weak engine spool up, based on the streamer's vids was so wrong, it's super good. I thought my ears were going to explode in my Razr headphones, superb. I spent about an hour at KPAE with her, just messing around the systems and taxiing a bit and she's a beauty. Can't wait to take her up in the air tomorrow on my delivery flight.

Yeah coming from the 737 other than the cold and dark, very similar to fly (if not easier since more is auto managed). I was also very surprised how smooth it was to land. I was expecting to crash it since it was my first heavy in the game, but it ended up being the smoothest landing I have ever had in the sim. I also managed to try the time compression feature (only went up to 8x) on my flight from JFK to EGLL, was a block time of 6.5 hours, I flew it up to TOC and picked it back up at the TOD, and had zero issues, had a long taxi at JFK but it cut 3 hours off with a total block time of 3.5 hours.

Doing my first flight with this beautiful beast. MSFS 2020 is now feature complete to me! Looking forward to MSFS 2024.😀

Ok ok. I am sold. Finally a long hauler. And first good feedback. So just jumped into the water. And got my license and link literally the same second I pressed the BUY button, so servers seemingly relaxed again

I haven't read the whole post, sorry if I missed this question: how is the fps compared to the 737

History will show ... 😉

Well, not so. But fun aside, I read it compares equally and thus I just bought and installed the 777, getting ready for my first flight and will be able to tell you in few minutes

What about pitch during landing with AP off and sounds?

I haven’t had a problem with the pitch when hand flying and I personally thought the sounds were awesome! Felt like my shelves were going to fall off the wall from the low rumble when starting and also when spooling up!

actually very good on fps, no impact at all on my by now modest system, seems (subjectively) better on fps still than the Fenix, can hardly tell though since I fly capped at 30 fps which is almost always manageable to obtain

Although I dont own Fenix, 30FPS is all I need. Thank you.

I'm seeing a 5 fps hit (~32 vs 737 ~37) with the 777 compared to the 737. 5800X, 32GB, 4080ti in 1440p (frame gen off)
