Plane is amazing, but anyone else getting lots of engine blade texture ghosting when the engines are running with frame gen on? Running a 4080

Ya that's a frame gen issue in general with artifacting at times.

Overall pretty happy with it other than the parking brake issue which might be more user error than anything else.

Definitely UE.  A recent change, all explained in the manual.

ok had a chance to fly this now, beautiful in many, many ways 🙂

BUT, perhaps it's my config, or my technique, but this seems very difficult to control in pitch during approach and landing, trim seems to have a delayed effect, and it just seems a little erratic in pitch control - I'm using TCA Airbus stick so could well be a "local" issue here

also, I'd rather the engines didn't move at all than doing the weird side to side thing

I should add, this was an empty flight in terms of pax and cargo and very low fuel - will experiment more with a more realistic load

I thought it taxied really nice.  Better than the 737NG series in my opinion.  The plane is massive and flying mostly smaller planes since the inception of FS2020 it takes some getting used to especially in tighter spots.  Takeoff roll was surprisingly brisk and the power from those massive engines is amazing even derated.  No problem climbing out either and it was not until higher altitudes that it started to feel heavier.

That's interesting and good to know about the taxiing. RSR has said they'll adopt the new MSFS SU15 ground handling physics improvements on a subsequent update of the 777, so it can only get better. But great that they've managed to make it decent without taking advantage of the new ground physics in MSFS.

Isn’t it FBW so doesn’t need to be trimmed like you would the NG for example, more like an airbus? I’ve not flown it yet due to work, leaving that for the weekend.

you do trim the aircraft, the FBW indicator isn't displayed by default

I think understanding this video is going to be key

So PMDG did finally fix the very issue I reported for P3D (THS speed rate was not 10 kt/sec but half of that)!

Does it have blip trim working?

Is anyone experiencing any cabin lights flickering issues? Started on final to FSDT's ORD and continued until I parked and shut down. Arrival around 9:25pm local.

Pretty sweet.....took it up for a quick circuit around the Bay Area and decided to give the fuel jettison a shot to see if it works?  It sure does and if you go to external view you actually get the fuel dumping out of the wings.  Its a pretty slow process but it is in real life as well.  I would guess it would take 30 minutes plus to dump 150K pounds of fuel.

I think only a few other planes in the history of flight simulator have actually had the fuel dump actually work.  I think FSX had it as an option as a key command for some aircraft but it never showed it visually and the dump rate was extremely fast!

Yes, today I flew CYYZ-EGLL and had a flawless flight, including landing into dense fog at EGLL (inibuilds) with no performance issues.  This aircraft is much more polished than the 737, even after all the updates the smaller bird has received. Quite pleased with my purchase so far.

I flew the typical KPAE-KSFO as a refresher flight and then KSFO - VVNB (Hanoi) with a low viz hazy approach as a long haul test. Both were great with no issues and smooth performance. Hand flies like I’d expect a heavy to feel. Looking forward to doing some VATSIM flights with it and also giving the CPDLC feature a try! I’m also a happy customer.
