I mean, same thing with the 737 once you're at cruise.

Not really, the descent and adjusting approach speeds, and levels is totally different in the 737 , versus the A 320  where all you have to do is sit in the seat and look.

Not for every approach, Bob. Just sit there and look during the RNAV 23 approach into Queenstown for example, see how far you get. There are countless other examples of difficult approaches where managed mode just isn't an option.

I understand they are swamped, but this delay seems a bit excessive.

I think you really ought to expect a delay when purchasing soon after release.

My delay ended up being a little over 2.5 hours, that I do consider excessive - even if you do not.

If the delay was 2.5 hours two months after release, I would agree with you.  In the first few minutes/hours after a release from a company like PMDG, I wouldn't.

Is anyone working on the GSX profile?

I made 3 quick edits to the (provided) GSX profile last night:

1) the FWD cargo door height...changed to 3.0 m (from the 7+ default)

2) the AFT cargo door height...changed to 3.1 m (from the 7+ default)

3) the FWD starboard service door...changed the 15.9 m value to 15.62 (same as the port side)

It's the same on the 737. For me at least.

Just took off in the 773ER in UA colors on its inaugural SFO-NRT flight.  Other than the parking brake issue which I sort of figured out accidentally everything went well.  What I like about PMDG products in that they are study level but are actually easy to figure out.  If you own the PMDG 737NG series this is pretty much right at home.

I thought it taxied really nice.  Better than the 737NG series in my opinion.  The plane is massive and flying mostly smaller planes since the inception of FS2020 it takes some getting used to especially in tighter spots.  Takeoff roll was surprisingly brisk and the power from those massive engines is amazing even derated.  No problem climbing out either and it was not until higher altitudes that it started to feel heavier.

Overall pretty happy with it other than the parking brake issue which might be more user error than anything else.
