June 23, 20241 yr Cue the Naysayers, who constantly accuse him of hyperbole and not putting his money where his mouth is. I for one like his infectious enthusiasm and his constant behind the scenes dealings which have lead to many fruitful improvements in the simworld on the way to his vision of a truly digital twin of the world and finding new ways of opening up the world of simming for newcomers.

Flightsim wouldn't have a future and would instead be shackled to LM P3D. Jörg and his team understood that flightsimming is first and foremost a video game, thus it has to be fun and immersive. In doing this, he brought in a large audience of eager buyers, thus ensuring that the knob twisters, button pushers, and "study level" guys also have a future.

Seb has been living so long in France that his accent has more of a French twang to it and he started to spell his first name in the french way., but he is just as german as Jörg is. And not in the way 4th Generation Immigrants in the U.S. like to call themselves german, or irish. They both are natives born and raised in Germany. Edited June 23, 20241 yr by Farlis

June 23, 20241 yr I don't think there's ever been a more exciting time in the world of flight sim. FS2020 is already more than I could ever have dreamed of in the FSX/P3D days, and FS2024 is raising that bar even higher. And I'm so happy that it's clearly getting the recognition that it deserves evidenced by the insane user statistics - they said in the keynote that they're the highest user figures of any flight sim TO DATE, that's quite the achievement in its own right. You’re right on the money. We wouldn’t have the advanced sim that we have today if it were just MS and Asobo handling everything. Not to say these companies obviously aren’t talented, but just creating a living and breathing world is hard enough and then add on the entirety of aviation to the mix, it’s just too much work. Really smart of Jorg (and efficient) to bring in other developers to help share the jaw dropping amount of work that it takes to create MSFS.
