September 15, 20241 yr I forgot all about this and finally turned it up the other day. Makes QUITE the difference, particularly near mountains. I kinda like it 😁
September 15, 20241 yr Realistic is totally unrealistic for me. I find medium more than sufficient and closest to my RW experience. Ryzen 5800X3D, Nvidia RTX5080 - 32 Gig DDR4 RAM, 1TB & 2 TB NVME drives - Windows 11 64 bit MSFS 2024 Premium Deluxe Edition Resolution 2560 x 1440 (32 inch curved monitor)
September 15, 20241 yr Realistic is far too aggressive. The equivalent of severe turbulence during typical summer days
September 15, 20241 yr Realistic was throwing the PMDG 777 around like a Cessna on a clear day ;/ MS messed sth up
September 15, 20241 yr All settings are at max realistic on my system. At times the turbulence is a bit overdone. If you are ahead of the aircraft, it is not a problem providing you are ready to correct. Currently preparing a set of tutorials for the TL-3000 Sirius (sport ultralight) by FSReborn at Dawson City Airport (CYDA) in Yukon, Canada. The airport is situation in the foothills of the Ogilvie Mountains and the final part of the downwind segment of the traffic pattern is located over a high ridge that presents predictable updrafts with turbulence. Lots of fun in an ultralight! Latest video at The Flight Level Flight Over Frozen Lake Erie - Between Ice and Clouds - Ultimate Solitude - The Perfect Memory
September 15, 20241 yr full realistic for me. My MSFS 2020 repaints: Flightsim.to - Profile of HStreet Working on MSFS 2024 versions.
September 15, 20241 yr I tried realistic several times but every plane just feels like a paper plane. I now use low for all GA airplanes and medium for airliners and never looked back.
September 15, 20241 yr Huh, don't seem to have the same experience for my realistic setting, just sometimes throws me but seldom. I do have FSRealistic running with it maybe calms it down??
September 15, 20241 yr Medium for me, though the sim appears to make every approach a high turbulence environment in the 1000 to 2000' AGL zone. I don't see any way for simmers sitting in an office chair to really get the "feel" of turbulence. I recall from my flying days in 152s or 172s crossing over a blacktop or concrete highway in the Summer and getting a real "kick in the pants". 🙂 Edited September 15, 20241 yr by RandallR Randall Rocke
September 15, 20241 yr I've read much too many reports from actual pilots who state the turbulence is unrealistic both in it's implementation and it's intensity. I've left it on LOW as a compromise to having at least some turbulence in the sim.
September 15, 20241 yr Where is the setting for turbulence, are you talking about MSFS2020 setting or something else?
