September 19, 20241 yr just tell me what kind of snowboards are there and can i go shooting cows in Finland 😄. I just mean for real, somebody with an addon, think the possibilities. Yeah, in deed. Soon we have every gamer waiting on loading screen to get available azure server, lol. We have gongolas and ski-lifts, how about skiing in every ski resort available in the world. That sounds fun, i want it and so does a lot of others. I dont have the currency to go to Vail for alpine skiing, i can do it in my home, think of it, endless possibilities, now that we soon have first person mode. How about hunting those buffaloes on the Savanna or disc golfing on the grand canyon what not. Now we have the tru twin earth, developers, use your imagination, i am open for ideas. I think to just fly is boring, but if you could go to ski resort for hit the slopes after you have flown there, thats would be amazing. Edited September 19, 20241 yr by tmholopa

September 19, 20241 yr KTVL has got a bit of a touch up. New ground textures and vehicle models, but the actual terminal building seems to be identical to what we have now
September 19, 20241 yr Anyone buying the collectors edition? I’m considering the comedy value of walking through a crowded airport terminal in my captains uniform while clutching the MSFS2024 flight bag. I do like to have physical objects though, I’ve got loads of flight sim boxes and cases stored in my loft. If it had a printed manual then it would be an instant decision, as it is I’m wavering between collectors and aviators 787 captain. Other real life pilots are also welcome to comment on the ground handling at the 11:38 mark in the video. Not sure what to make of that except for the skid marks. But in the video I shared from AVAngel, I was impressed by the increased difficulties due to landing on a sand bank. Basically the tires dug into the sand, causing a lot of friction. I guess any landing on unpaved surfaces would cause this effect, which to me is impressive. Apparently there's improvements to the flight model as well (as commented in the video I shared), but I haven't seen this verified by other sources (not mentioned in the FSElite video I think). 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5

I already own the ATR & An-225 separately, not really sure if I care enough about the others to justify the price premium myself. Most likely going to get Premium Deluxe, as there's several aircraft there I'm much more interested in. Thanks for breaking this out. When the info first came out, I thought I'd have to stomach the full Aviator's version to get the Premium Deluxe FS2020 aircraft I never bought, glad to hear this isn't the case too.

September 19, 20241 yr Presumably if you buy the physical collectors edition you’d also get a code via email to download the simulator on release day, and not be waiting for the physical package to arrive from Germany? That’s the one thing I’m nervous about, I don’t like waiting around. 787 captain. Previously 24 years on 747-400.Technical advisor on PMDG 747 legacy versions QOTS 1 , FS9 and Aerowinx PS1.
September 19, 20241 yr An FSiPanel landing approach at EGNV Teesside International this evening has reminded me about something else that I want to see in MSFS 2024, and that is properly rendered oil/gas tanks at refineries. I would have thought that large circular tanks would have been easy for the Blackshark AI system to render, but evidently not Christopher Low AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU / 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM / 12GB Nvidia RTX 4070 Super GPU / Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite Wifi 7 / 1+2TB Samsung Evo Plus M2 Nvme UK2000 Beta Tester

If they sent me a DVD or something I wouldn't know what to do with it. $200 drink coaster?

Not sure how it will be handled this time, but it may well be the same. Maybe you can email Aerosoft and ask? 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen

Need to check out that video.. the landings on uneven terrain in the Draco X from this video looked pretty good I thought in terms of reactivity with the terrain: here: https://youtu.be/kJ759EgL04w?t=647 and here: https://youtu.be/kJ759EgL04w?t=621 EDIT: Cpt_Piett saw AVAngel's video and ya that's pretty darn cool how the soft sand impacts the ground handling characteristics and landing/takeoff (https://youtu.be/MfMj9cQYqhA?t=370).. bush flying in MSFS 2024 is going to be so much fun. September 19, 20241 yr There’s no mention of physical media so I’m sure it’ll just be a download code this time, I’m just hoping you’d also receive the code via email in advance so you’re not waiting for an airmail parcel which might get delayed or lost even. 787 captain. September 19, 20241 yr I watched now several trailers and yes, the overall scenery in close up looks much more detailed, trees are much better. But some of the annoying limitations obviously remain: water is still creeping uphil on certain riverbeds, the border between e.g. tree outlines and water behind is still a plain white line, reflections are still cut off around 3D objects in front of them and at the image boarders and and and. If this is a completely new engine, I am amazed that so many limitations are obviously still present. And: it seems that also the issue with mountain flanks lying in the shadows on satellite imagery is unresolved, you can see in several takes that even the grand canyon scenery suffers from it. So I sadly doubt that the totally borked WU18 in Switzerland will look any better in MSFS 2024. Surprisingly also: almost all vids show the same set of scenarios. Why?
