BATC Traffic coming to all users imminently

And the more routes you fly over time, the more of airlines get added until you have all that fly in your area that you always fly in.

I have the entire AIG catalogue downloaded, all 62 Gb of it, so that can't be it. I guess it has to do with the smaller airports I usually visit. And the fact that BATC doesn't do GA and VFR yet. With BATC all the airports look totally empty and lifeless while with default traffic even the smaller airports have at least something happening. I prefer that.

Even with BATC traffic enabled I leave the default traffic on to remedy this.

  • I love the progress. Keep in mind it's only half a year old. They've come a long way since the beginning

  • I can vouch for the BATC traffic, it's nice. It can use FSLTL, AIG and FSTraffic models if you have any of them installed.

Yes, it all has pros and cons. At the same time - if you're at an airport scenery that does not reflect real life (try KORD and report back) you will see aircraft taxi in the grass where taxiways have

Yeah, that's true, if you go to an airport that has only one scheduled passenger flight per day, it will be empty

BATC will use/match FSLTL, MyTraffic, or AIG models. Can I assume that the more airplanes you have the better the chances of seeing AI traffic. The downside is that the sim will take much longer to load. FSLTL alone gives me plenty of airliners to admire and performance with a setting of 7, is excellent. But, I do use AutoFPS to reduce LOD to 50 when taxiing at any airport.

No need really to have all 3. AIG has by far the largest variety. I believe the only model that FSLTL has that AIG doesn’t have yet is the MD-11F.

AIG is great, but I still chose FSLTL as my primary AI Traffic. It's much easier to install and the models and effects are lovely.

FSLTL is what BATC recommends.

well, i  msfs 24 doesn't matter if you have aig and fstl takes same time to load  so better have both and cover all airliners and models. in msfs if you have both  the first load is very slow

I've notice that with BATC traffic active I keep hearing a noise that sounds like barking dog or (far more likely) an aircraft tire chirping like they would at touchdown.  It's continuous even without any aircraft actually touching down anywhere.  Anyone else? I'm using FSLTL traffic for models.

Known issue, on their discord server there is a workaround you can download until it is officially fixed,

Scroll down to 'Fix FSLTL tyres sounds' and download the fix from there.

Thanks very much guys!

Have to say, I'm enjoying this so far. The injector works far better than vanilla FSLTL, the animations are better for takeoff etc and the performance hit is negligible in comparison even thought there seems to be far more action on the aprons.

The interaction between the Tower and ground frequencies and the other aircraft adds another level of immersion into the sim that was completely missing for me of late.

So far all my vectors to the runways have been spot on, granted the winds at SFO yesterday were biblical and I struggled to establish the aircraft with runway 19L, overall the interaction with ATC has been a lot of fun.

All in all this has been money very well spent.

Yes, things are slowly improving. Badly miss an option to use historical weather with AS. FSHud does have this option

Yes I agree completely. Just got this a few days ago and it really does work well. The basic voices are good enough most of the time and the premium voices are excellent. Wish they were cheaper but I hope they will come down in price over time.

It’s funny how used I’ve become to there not being other traffic that ATC considers.  I had to call off my push back because ATC told me told hold for crossing traffic…very cool.
