April 3, 20251 yr Well now I'm confused. I started the sim and was hoping to get the latest SU2 update but the sim loaded without showing the update progress bar. Yet, after loading, the version showed 1.4.10. Is this normal? Does it not show a prgress bar for new downloads anymore? Mario Di Lauro

April 3, 20251 yr So for the first time in the beta iv'e got 2 CTD's on short finals at two different airports. The second one as a 1.5 hr flight into KDCA with the Comanche 😞 . Sim starts fine everything smooth but around 200ft above the threshold in both cases the sim craps out.. Parked this beta for now. Hopefully the next update reverses whatever they screwed up. April 3, 20251 yr The performance of the FS2024 beta versions has always been very good for me, but I would say that is normal in the context. We are evolving in an empty shell without too much constraint. I have used the beta versions since the beginning without respite and even after all that I have never had so much fun with FS2020. The Bing map used in FS2024 has a very artificial visual appearance in its hues and colors. Of course, some places known to everyone are realistic, but the rest is really not beautiful and we are very far from the crystal effect of FS2020.I did one of the many flights with the FS2024 beta and not beta around Edinburgh and the north, the overall visual experience was horrible. And it often is. The good experiences are the mountains in some places.It's shaky on many levels. FS2024 is a very difficult pleasure.
