For MANY MSFS2024 works as well or better than 2020!

If you think you are fighting back, they could care less!

And for many, it doesn't.

BTW , what does " They could care less mean" exactly? 😉

Didn't they just release a city update for both sims? When I look into your post history, I seriously think you need to touch some grass.

  • My opinion of Asobo has done a complete 180 in a very short time. After 2020's rough release I knew better than to preorder 2024, but even I was surprised at how underdeveloped it was at release. Howe

...meanwhile internally the work on MSFS 2028 has begun... contracts signed... same story in three years from now... reminds me a little bit of groundhog day... and we feed a troll 😄

“Fighting back” in any context of a game / sim, is such hyperbole.  You’d think this was about opposing oppression and preserving human rights or something.

A company is prioritizing their newest product…go figure 🤷‍♂️

Almost a year since the last sim update (Sim update 15 on May 23 2024)

Think about it, what has not been fixed?

It's the things that they can't fix.

When I tested 2024, the atc was useless, live weather questionable, AI traffic (Airliners & Boats) did not work, same scenery issues as in initial release of 2020. The list goes on and on.

The only feature that impressed me was the planner and that's because they hired a competent team. We all know what WT brought to the table.

We have to rely on third party creators to fix or complete our sims. We all have received lots of value and we continue to support MS by buying add-ons at their marketplace or elsewhere.

Focus on that and be grateful that we have 2 amazing sims. Let me know if you need any help.

MSFS

Yawn. But every forum has at least one.

This goes back to their dishonesty in how MSFS 2024 was pushed out. There was no conditionals such as every developer does such as Alpha build which it clearly was. Not beta. Only after the tremendous blow back did they apologize and preface the releases by voluntarily using beta builds.

With dishonesty comes suspicion and in this case justified. I was an early day 1 adopter to 2024 replete with problems. I am doing the beta route now and given the Store has finally been implemented and I'm buying sceneries despite numerous problems there is some light at the end of the tunnel. But it is still erratic. There are days where doesn't matter which plane I use (fly almost exclusively tubes) I get crashes this includes default planes. It's been a rough road to say the least and if it weren't for developers like Fenix I would have ridded this from my HD a while ago.

If I may ask, what monitor resolution are you running here?

It's a 32" 60hz, 1440p screen running at 2560 x 1440.

Good luck with your new system,  I think you'll love it👍

This is despicable, throwing the 2020 simmers under a Bus.

Microsoft Flight Simulator continues to get new features, bug fixes etc, as it has done since 2020.  I'm not sure what you mean by 'throwing 2020 simmers under a bus' - MSFS is alive and well.

Sounds like you should have done.  MSFS 2020 is mostly working fine, so why not just use that until the 2024 version is up to the standard you want it?

Seriously, how old are you guys? Looking at some posts I could swear the posters cannot be more than 15 years old.🙄

The shutdown issue was caused by the mandatory installation of the monthly NAV AIRAC database update on April 17th which originates from Lufthansa. I don’t know why it would cause MSFS 2020 to hang on exit, but it does. There must be something in that particular AIRAC that prevents the main MSFS process from closing completely.

I would not expect a resolution to the problem until the next scheduled AIRAC update, which will be on May 14th

It is getting more clear every day, Msobo are not providing 2020 Sim updates (except for scenery) and they have convinced their Dev partners to do the same.

This includes Inibuilds who have started making sceneries for 2024 only and stopped with 2020 scenery updates 😠

This is despicable, throwing the 2020 simmers under a Bus.  They want to keep charging exorbitant prices for FS2024 and force simmers to buy.  The Steam reviews are as worse as ever.

2020 simmers must fight back, and not buy 2024. These Devs don't have the cards. 2020 simmers do. Without customers they are not sustainable.  And they will Crumble.

2020 simmers could use the sim optimization updates, but with a good system FS2020 is relatively stable. Plus we have all the addons already.

The latest reports of the 2024 Beta is that it's a Streaming mess. Full of Stutters, Freezes, CTD's, and probably BSOD's too!   The streaming experiment has failed. It will always fail.

There is trouble in paradise folks.

Hi,

Stopped using MS2020 due to the stutters and flickers that seem to pop up every other day. I also received a refund for 2024 same day I purchased due to 100% online requirement. I was under the impression we were getting more data on our end because of the server/streaming issues with 2020, as well as the decrease in hardware storage... apparently they didn't learn a thing!

Flickers/stutters seem to go along with time of day and server demand, I did not setup my flight deck only to be forced into flying at certain times of the day when the kiddies are in bed.

With the other sim at 12.2, I don't miss 2020 as much. Still trying to figure out what Msobo brought to the table in 2024 seeing how the interface for moving maps was already setup, other than 3D down to the ground and their flight controls are a bit better what other great advancements did they make that warrant a new sim as opposed to an update?

Personally I believe they made the decision to go gaming and we were/are lucky enough to be taken along for the ride, same as P3D!

One mans paradise is another mans nightmare, time to wake up from this debacle

You got that right, this was so far from reality they should of been sued for false advertisement!!!!
