PMDG 777-200ER Released

Featured Replies

I've seen another report of a WASM crash on reddit, someone doing EGLL-KBOS, WASM crash and then the aircraft fell out of the sky midway over the atlantic.

I haven't had one yet, but I've only done two flights so far, one of them being EGLL-KBOS

What an enjoyable experience in 2024. Smooth as butter, everything worked the first load. It's a pretty standard PMDG plane experience, but they did a good job getting it working in 2024. Loaded in, d

Just did my first flight. Smooth, without any hiccups. The performance is incredible, even better than some default aircraft. Nothing to complain about at the moment. Regarding someone's comments

Are you using 2020 or 2024 version?

Nice. Are there any click-spots in Walk-around mode? Like iniBuilds A350 has (and that Fenix is working on).
Also, is the cabin only available in 2024 or in both sims?

OK so PMDG are back in my flight sim albeit at considerable unnecessary cost. Now ASOBO need to lower my blood pressure further by getting FSLTL and GAIS to bloody well work because the default offerings are rubbish!

FSLTL works no problem.

Frankly I didn't really explored I just jumped into the cockpit, but there we no engine or pito/static covers

No click spots that I’ve observed (thank god), and yes there is a cabin.

If you mean the injector no idea on that but Vatsim traffic wise I just copied the folders over put VMR in Vpilot. Not had a problem. Some aircrafts for me show has a 737 when it should be a 757 for instance.

Blackbox711 just mentioned he feels the FF777 still has an edge regarding the flight model then again people will criticse the look of Xplane and textures but Xplane is getting better in his opinion.

Here is the thing. You are getting caught up on a thread and some user says something egregiously incorrect and disparaging. You then hit reply right then and there, instead of continuing reading the rest of the unread posts.

In your case you made mistaken comments because of an inability to use the PMDG OC correctly.

There was no need to reply to my post trying to help you, because even if it doesn’t help you in the moment, it may help others. Other posters were asking about the specific liveries that are available. But if casting negative remarks towards those making an effort trying to help you makes you feel better, then I will do my best to understand.

Your original post sounded indignant and angry as did your reply to me trying to help you.

Flight sim is just a hobby and people get together on this forum to learn and help each other. So no need for comments or replies containing animus. Let's just all be happy and enjoy this fun activitiy.

Get your act together. No need to respond to my post responding to your post because you don't have the patience to read the threads as you should. I have every right to express my dismay of a product I paid 112 bucks for, in any fashion I want to. The individual who responded to me almost immediately I indicated to him I figured the new interface to but not without me downloading a bunch of liveries before seeing the necessity of turning the appropriate button on the NEW interface. Next time educate yourself reading the threads before your knee jerk reaction to my post which response was shortly after my post. Come on waste some more time pontificating.

Lenny777 thanks for letting me know. You are truly awesome and I really appreciate your contributions to this forum. I look forward to reading many more of your posts. Thanks very much!!!

You’re making an assumption that the 77W/F was “full price” to begin with.  What if PMDG considered the future release of the 200 series in their overall pricing strategy and spread out those costs over the entire 777 series accordingly?  In other words if the 77W/F were to be their ONLY products the price might very well have been $140 each as the “full price” of those products, and therefore paid a discounted rate originally.

The first t-shirt you buy isn’t going to cost you $10 million because you have to pay for the t-shirt factory.  The plan is to make many more t-thirts and spread out those costs so you are only paying $20 or so, even for that first one.

Of course the 777-300 was full price, that really is the silliest argument I've heard yet

You argued that you should expect a discount for any further variant of the 777 series since the lion’s share of PMDG’s cost (ie. full price) was baked into the original launch variant.  I merely presented an alternative viewpoint that PMDG is spreading the cost (and price) over all variants (current and future), and therefore no further discount should be expected.  You might find that silly, but that is not an unusual concept in the business world.

Just flew the plane today in MSFS 2024. In most cases, it does hand fly very well, as others have pointed out.

Unfortunately, it still struggles mightily with gusty conditions on approach. I know they made some changes to the autothrottle specifically for dealing with gusty conditions, but I saw no improvement compared to the 777-300ER. That was one of my biggest complaints, so it's disappointing that it's still an issue.
