May 4, 20251 yr Two flights in and quite happy with the purchase. New engine sounds will be the icing on the cake. As expected, the PMDG auto cruise system worked flawlessly on both flights, best in class. Now I just need Winwing to make their 777 FMC compatible with it. May 4, 20251 yr Just been up again doing circuits at KEDW at dusk , what a beautiful sim 2024 is with its lighting. Im still seeing an issue with the auto throttle struggling in any wind, but I'm putting this down to the aircraft itself over reacting to wind changes. The slightest change in wind speed is seeing the speed tape bounce around , you really wouldn’t see this on a big jet , I’m talking about a couple of knots gusts here. Other than that, and an annoying strobing effect in VR which I think is the base sim playing up, but doesn’t show in other aircraft, it used to in the blackbird T6, but stoped after blackbird issued the 2024 compatibility update. So not sure. Apart from that I’m really enjoying flying this machine it’s gorgeous. 787 captain. Gives you more granular control too so you can pretty much get essentially idle reverse as an option. The compatibility list on their website doesn’t yet include a date for the B772. It says the B77W is already compatible, and the 777F was scheduled to be compatible April 20, so hopefully it won’t be a long wait. Luckily the brakes are quite good and the runways been quite long so it hasn't caused an issue! I've got the Thrustmaster TCA stick (and quadrant but I've disabled it as the detents don't really work for Boeings). I've binded a key to the Hold Reverse Thrust action but it doesn't seem to work. Also, does the AT disengage itself on landing after it's idled the thrust or do you have to do that manually? I've got so used to Airbus systems and logic that there's a few Boeing-isms that are catching me out! You have the Airbus TCA? Reverse thrusters are working fantastically. May 5, 20251 yr Man, just came back from holidays and installed this bird. What a performance! Never had such a smooth moving panning study airliner like this................ Edited May 5, 20251 yr by rob0203

I now (in 2024) am getting consistent 70+ FPS at altitude, 40+ on TO roll and 60 during climb out with the PMDG 777-200. Now a top performer in my stable. My machine is no slouch but its not top of the line either, i14700K, RTX 4070ti, 64 GB CAS 6000 RAM, 1440p resolution. -B Edited May 5, 20251 yr by btacon

Exactly, which is very unfortunate. If you are flying with live weather, gusts aren't a rare phenomenon, so the aircraft will feel very strange on a significant portion of flights. With wind gusts of 20+ knots, it's a mess. They supposedly introduced some changes to fix this, but I am not seeing any improvements. The iFly 737 MAX still has the best flight model in MSFS 2020/2024, so I am looking forward to seeing that in 2024. Looks like it should be fairly soon. Edited May 5, 20251 yr by RNAVV19R

May 5, 20251 yr The performance is unreal. I don’t think I had even one stutter on my short flight. Cheers, Pete Pete Solov - Lake in the Hills 3CK and Schaumburg Regional 06CProud AOPA Member - PPL 2001Real World Piper Cherokee Pilot
