It's one thing to have Bad or Incompetent designers, but another thing for them to get Approved and they are found in the final product! What should happen is, the Community should be allowed to design new GUI screen replacements that are streamlined, simple and easy to use. May 19, 20251 yr UI is one of the worst I’ve seen in a long time … seems to be geared around the XBOX crowd and the XBOX controller. 1. On the controller screen the button value (i.e. 1, 2, 3, etc) isn’t integrated into the input box, it overlays it resulting in an ugly box covering the text behind it. 2. Slider arrows on either side of a selection box so that you have to scroll thru every option until you find the one you want … why not use a simple dropdown box? Click, one select vs. clicking < or > many times going thru the entire list of options? 3. Control groups specific to aircraft is a confusing mess, it’s like they tried to implement FSUIPC functionality but missed the boat on UI design. Seen countless people wondering why their “assignments didn’t stick” support threads. I’m a long time software engineer so my “nit pick” is because my users would NOT let me get away with the UI that is presented in MSFS 2024. What’s with the “can’t deal with negativity” stuff … hurt “feelings” or something? I don’t get that process of hide head in the sand because I don’t want to hear about it? It’s essential to get user feedback, it improves the product and hopefully sales. As much as I would like to have users like some of you, ultimately you’d be bad for business/sales.
