January 12Jan 12 Other than needing to update my layout file (see post above) as I had no SIDS/STARS the first time I went to fly, all is going well on flight #1. All in all my memory is serving me well on how to get the MD11 set up and in the air, despite having not flown this since moving to FS24. Seems very nice so far, I’m very happy to have it back in my hangar! If MSFS2024 does not freeze up when I load the plane, the nav database is corrupted and the FMC cant find any waypoints or Airports. I have reinstalled and ran the navigraph Hub to update. Good luck. It’s working well for me, currently on hour 3 of a 4 hour flight. Hardest part was getting into the website to purchase LoL. Don’t give up, it’s a good plane and quite the improvement over its previous incarnation. Blue skies, -B
January 12Jan 12 This first release in FS24 in its online model/LODs is terrible haha, hope they solve it, sure, in a near future.
January 13Jan 13 The order page also had enhanced features and additional systems, I don't see this being mentioned in the reviews I watched so far so not sure if that's actually what's being used assuming that's even implemented today or is that a future thing?
January 13Jan 13 Loved it in 2020 and now 2024 its just incredible with a heavy feel and smooooth. Artwork is definitely an upgrade. Highly recommend. Just my 2 cents. I hope First officer will support it. Edited January 13Jan 13 by cchiozza Chris Chiozza

First news for me also, it is already functioning, I bought it also today for another 4.5€ or so, but I can´t tell more, I don´t know if I will use it someday, I only clicked in the new added "MD-11 Extended Simulation" Shortcut with the new installation options, a GUI with failures etc. have opened, and then I closed it haha.
January 13Jan 13 A note for the TFDi folk following this thread - the MSFS 2024 livery file names are too long. When I go to put the unzipped livery into the Community24 folder that runs off the C drive, (C\User\etc, about 5 or 6 layers down), then add the livery file name , I get a message saying the total string is too long, do I want to shorten the file name? If I shorten the livery file name are there particular parts of it that must be in the abbreviated version for it to be recognized? Thanks T45

With the default MS/Asobo online model selecting simplified for online matching models, it is ok, and the front gear missing I think is a fault from MS like in other default generic online model from them. Anyway I recommend really this aircraft despite this online planes haha that they will solve sure if they know that problem in the future, and in VR is a "wou", I don´t remember that superlative "wou" in FS20, maybe a notch down level "wou". Though I love on-flight spotting and I watch first this problems haha.
