Sad to read that developers are already wrapping up development for MSFS 2020. Especially when 2024 is still a piece of junk.

Well, I love junk then 🙂

Praise ASOBO for making junk like this... This junk has turned out, after more than 25 year of very active flight simulation, into my preferred flight simulator, ever !

Just imagine how it'll be when it starts moving from "junk" into something solid....

I left FS 2020 the day FS 2024 was released and I can't look back...

To the OP, and because I am really not a Discord lover, thanks for posting these News !

i completely agree. fs2024 has been a painful journey, but it continues to improve. i dont usually use betas, but i installed the latest su3 and it has been pretty much pain free. perfect? absolutely

From my personal perspective the more pressure on MSobo to offer a proper weather radar system the better.

I think most of us agree with your perspective. However, having the default radar is better than nothing. Even Fenix conceded. I read somewhere that Asobo is considering making changes post-SU4, so it may take a long time until we see something in that regard.

Cool to see different cabin layouts on the horizon. Personally I’d love a BBJ (Boeing business jet) interior as that would suit my role playing and the more obscure unscheduled flights I tend to do.  But that’s minor.

The big item is really the EFB. I know it’s wishful thinking but being able to remotely access it from an actual iPad would be super nice. And if they could integrate the MSFS 2024 EFB so you could use the flight planner and charts provided by the sim as an option instead of Simbrief that would be gold!

2024 is not piece of junk! Developers know that. They also know how to count money where to invest.

And the iFly max has been out almost a year without one update.

Is it worth picking back up yet? I did one flight with it with a friend, couldn't get the AP to follow any sort of instructions in roll mode, and it was super pitchy and unstable in all AP pitch modes. Had to fly the entire thing in CWS and then gave up. Didn't really get any help in the Discord, very much a "must be you" or "maybe hardware" response - disappointing.

What year is the Max 9 scheduled to release? I say 2027 right before the announcement of MS2028.

Still nothing regarding the wx radar. Wish they would reconsider.

yes, but due to demand they decided to implement a flushing toilet.... with SOUNDS! for  ummmm immersion, as it seemingly adds more than a wx radar. good news about the efb tho, the current one is an abomination.

And if they could integrate the MSFS 2024 EFB

IMO, Please NO!  I find the current Asobo EFB a mixed bag, with some glaring gaps.  For example the only way to enter PAX, Cargo and Fuel is with sliders that you just drag.  No keyboard entry of actual numbers.  And the sliders can’t even be adjusted by mouse wheel, only by dragging.  Good luck in attaining accuracy in your pax count and cargo/fuel weights.

YMMV. TANSTAAFL

What the trend should tell you is that a LOT more customers are spending money on 2024 than 2020.

And the devs are responding in kind.

if 2024 was actually a piece of junk, the inverse would be happening.

Come on. Let's not get silly. Everybody knows that the best flight simulator ever was Flight Unlimited 3 (with the FU2 San Francisco scenery installed)

Works well for me.  Maybe it's something on your end?  It's not bug free but neither is 2020.

Not going to bash users of 2020 as 2024 is just now becoming my primary sim of choice since SU3 and there is still some ways to go. But im sure everyone understands that at some point the primary focus will shift to the new sim and 2020 will be eventually deprecated over time. Some of the devs have to carefully evaluate where to place resources for future development  and when to essentially wrap stuff up for the older sim.
