At least give a reasonable example. Every time I go for a new car immediately after purchasing the value instantly drops that goes for anyone. Big difference to software. 

Come on, guys. People need to be paid for the work that they do. If others choose to release stuff for free, then great! Enjoy the gift. The problem here is that some people are starting to expect and/or demand it from all developers. That is really not fair.

The peer products e.g., from Fenix have been in the SIM for only a few years, including their A319/A321 which were released just last year. So, further refinements are understood to be possible.

These 737NGs have been in continuous production for the last 20+ years, revised and updated through multiple iterations. If there are still some value-additive (and undiscovered) enhancements to be had now, beyond MSFS2024 compatibility update, we’ll see…

No denying, though, PMDG releases (or re-releases) invariably generate excitement here, for sure…🙂…

The problem is not that people should get paid for their work, it's when statements are made while justifying an upgrade fee that it will be a very low upgrade fee, it could still be a low upgrade cost and that would be great. But the signals seem to point to something much higher, time will tell.

PMDG's time isn't any more valuable than other developers. On the contrary, it's actually less valuable than some others (like Fenix and iFly) because they make inferior products.

I wouldn't even mind paying a little more if not so many features were missing even now – like cabin announcements, an FMS with VNAV button and RTE2 functionality, BATC integration...

We all have opinions and options, and we should be able to make a case without the childish aspersions, no?

does anyone know around what time it is released. previous pmdg lanches were more of a European evening release.

You can vote with your wallet surely but who are you to evaluate what any individual developers opportunity cost is worth?

It's not childish to say that one product is better than the other. Rarely are two products equal in terms of quality. It's perfectly fine to share that opinion. In fact, it is very helpful when people do so. The more data there is for potential buyers, the more informed they will be when deciding between those products.
