Wait so does Chaseplane just straight up not work with SU5 or is it more that it’s unsupported?

Doesn't work, devs are seeing if they can get it to work but no rush since they don't support Betas

  • Hi folks, I saw a few questions earlier in this thread about this release note: Removed weather panel humidity slider since humidity is no longer used. We followed up with the Asob

You comment away all you want Ken.  Don't let people shut you down.  They just want to live in their own echo chamber and constantly use straw man arguments and insults to try to make you feel ashamed

  • A lot of good stuff in this beta though I was hoping we would see some effort towards fixing ATC and AI aircraft behaviour which should really have been sorted this long after release.

Doesn't seem like a whole lot to get excited about here. Was hoping for some weather improvements, but guess I'll have to just keep waiting.

All the goodies come AFTER the sim has established a record of stability.  Can't put the cart before the horse I guess.

In fact, it got worse— they removed humidity for some reason. Clown show 🤡

That is disappointing. Weather is one thing they should be working really hard on improving. It is a MAJOR part of the 'sim'. I hope they aren't removing stuff to make it work better on consoles. I am going to have to seriously stop spending money on this sim if they keep regressing.

It's a freaking beta. Calm yourself.

Also where does one find humidity info in the sim?

I’ll sit this one out for now. Nothing groundbreaking really and SU4 runs perfectly.

It’s a shame, I can’t see any mention of fixing Historical Weather when using Sim Rate. Been reported repeatedly on their forums and ignored - historic weather always moves at 1x, even when flying with 4x or 8x. So after a while the METAR is behind sim time by hours…

The weather changing while at high speeds would probably cause the aircraft to shift hard.

You know Ive just fired FS24 up to have a couple of hours like ya do and its starts downloading a 9.3GB update and little did I know that it was beta 5 that it was downloading ...which I DONT bloodywell want, I have no interest in Betas and Ive just wasted a F,kin hour of my life trying to get out of the bloody beta ....roll on. Honestly.......bloody ridiculous ...... My configuragtion in the insider hub was not set to be in  the beta program......kin roll on

This is why Steam is superior. This word not allowed never happens.

Also, I am under the impression that several devs like Flight FX are waiting for this release.  I am mainly waiting for my new HJET.  Again, cart before the horse.

It most certainly was and you just forgot about it. Betas don't magically install themselves just because they feel like it.

I just checked security settings and you should be able to post - what issue are you seeing?

Regarding Tobii, they switched mapping of “EYE TRACKING RESET” in Keyboard 2024 Transversal profile from Alt+8 to Lshift+Space – can you try a reset?

very nice.

Are any regressions from past Sim Updates addressed in the first SU5 beta?

No sign of any new liveries for AI traffic.

Yeah, this one really got me. I don't like that I can't minimize haze when I want a nice clear view, and you could do this with the humidity slider from day one of 2020. Now you can't... I'd like an explanation on why this decision was made, but it's not likely to be given. Really, really disappointed in this.

That’s not the problem. The issue is that weather always stays at 1x when using sim rate. So when departing EGLL at 10:00z and approaching KMIA at 18:00z, having flown with sim rate 8x for an hour on the 777 the Zulu time would correctly be 18:00z. The weather and METAR, however, would have only moved 1 hour at 1x and show 11:00z. Happens on every flight, every time. It never catches up either, you can fly at 1x for 3 hours after that but it would always be 7 hours behind sim time at that point.

Just to be clear - that's using historic 24 hour weather, so in the above example let's say the real time I start the flight is at 21:00z the same day. Of course I'm not expecting the sim to predict future weather.

Afte reading ALL the update notes it is good to see that the VR folks are finally getting some luv.

Exactly. I don't know why people enrol in betas and then complain that this and that are broken.

I thought that is what happens in beta programs?
