February 14Feb 14 even the delicate FSS E-Jet so far so good on initial test: briefly up to 90 fps in VR ! I have never seen higher fps in VR MSFS 2024 on Pimax Crystal Light resolution. and Bill Gates said "64 fps ought to be enough for anybody". I guess he meant at ULTRA settings. 😄 Edited February 14Feb 14 by turbomax AMD 7800X3D, Windows 11, Gigabyte X670 AORUS Elite AX Motherboard, 64GB DDR5 G.SKILL Trident Z5 NEO RGB (AMD Expo), RTX 4090, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 2 TB PCIe 4.0, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 1 TB PCIe 4.0, 4K resolution 50" TV @60Hz, VR: Pimax Crystal Light + HP Reverb G2 @ 90 Hz, Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant, be quiet 1000W PSU, Noctua NH-U12S chromax.black air cooler. 60-130 fps. no CPU overclocking. very nice.

February 14Feb 14 Author After testing version 1.7.6.0 for a few hours, I've decided to forgo participating in a beta flighting for the first time: there are far too many incompatibilities with my setup – and I don't want to do without Chaseplane (which definitely DOESN'T work in SU5b) anymore. So, back to SU4, which runs much more smoothly on my modest system than the current beta. 'It is better to be silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.'

Furthermore, nobody can even vote on that comment! You said you couldn’t see one comment. I provided you with one. There are several referencing atmosphere / weather which we can understand to include humidity. I get humidity itself is not a huge movement, but lots of us are disappointed that weather / atmosphere (including humidity) continues to be ignored despite many years of many bug posts / wishlist items on the official forums and questions on the dev mtgs. And here we are with yet another SU with no progress. Not surprising that you will continue your long history of defending whatever the devs do. That you think a lack of posts about humidity specifically on the official forums means it isn’t important is just daft, frankly. How anyone can think humidity or any other feature of weather / atmosphere is irrelevant in a flight sim is beyond me. But then I have a feeling that if the devs decided that lift was no longer a necessary variable, you’d find a way to be ok with it. i910900k, RTX 3090, 32GB DDR4 RAM, AW3423DW, Ruddy girt big mug of Yorkshire Tea

Humidity is the measurement of how saturated the air is. These have very different impacts on aircraft performance. Incorrect. Knowing the temperature and the dew point temperature, and pressure, all thermodynamic variables can be calculated.

Had a flight yesterday, and BATC had some "engine error" messages appearing sometimes, but still worked fine. And traffic planes landing gear is not disappearing anymore! Overall performance looking good, but only tested with the Duke, still have to check with tubeliners. Landing at EDDF with traffic in fog, no stutters finally.

Problems so far only those caused by the latest Experimental channel FSLabs buses, not related to SU5, which causes all of the airbuses (FSLabs) to be INVISIBLE in the sim 😕 Ive just found out that our internet contact has run out and that Virgin Media has downgraded our speed to a crawl (whilst doubling our monthly payment) so it's probably that. I'll try again when it's back up to speed.
February 14Feb 14 For those of you complaining about the removal of humidity, as long as the dew point and temperature are still present, their relationship is modeled correctly within the game, then life is still ok. If the game models the atmosphere correctly in that when the dew point rises the atmosphere can hold more moisture, then life is definitely ok. Check out this explanation of how relative humidity can be figured by using the dew point spread. https://www.weather.gov/arx/why_dewpoint_vs_humidity in a real world application, I’ve NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER had any weather reports such as METARs or TAFs give me relative humidity. Why not? Because I can use the dew point spread to figure it out. I can also make an educated assessment of the atmospheres ability to hold moisture by looking at how high the dew point is. Just looked up the formula for calculating humidity. per the national physics laboratory: Relative humidity = 100 (e^(17.625(dew point in C°)/(234.04 + dew point))/(e^(17.625(temperature in C°)/(234.04 + temperature)) If dew point is 1:1, humidity is 100%. *i am not that kind of scientist

I was merely replying to someone else here, I bow down to your superior knowledge. I forgot what Avsim was like.
