In addition both on default and payware airports sometimes parking spots and routing on the airport are not 100% perfect aligned or even broken. As the product is relying on this data it sometimes can happen that vehicles taking weird ways, cutting through the plane or even can't appear at all. We do not have complete control over this but in most cases it should actually work without problems. Cheers T.

But to actually help you with your findings we would need to know what you are referring to. A simple "a lot of things on the first flight" isn't really helpful. And one personal remark on this "on the first flight". I see myself as quite an avid simmer flying all major high fidelity products out there, plus I was testing the Phenom from the very beginning as part of Rauls team: But I needed actually at least 5 flights in the beginning to learn how to fly it properly and nail it from that on. And that with help and input of active flying pilots on this type. So if you want to share a little bit more of your findings we could probably help to find problems or causes.Cheers T.

Or to have a hangar to put your airplane in?Sorry to say it so blend but for me it is how the airplane flies, the flight model etc. For me it failed the first flight on a lot of things in that respect ……Nobody else has a critical opninion? You are absolutely forbidden to criticize any aspect of FSReborn products here 😉 Before the release, people who weren't familiar with FSR, and asked questions were told by some "It's Raul.. obviously it will be fantastic".I do think it's a great addon but (like all FSReborn addons IMHO) the flight dynamics don't feel convincing to me across the flight regime. I find PC performance is very demanding and that - outside of the cockpit, which is fantastic - some of the cabin textures are a little off - a little "unbaked" looking, bright and basic and too 'sugar-coated'. (subjective).Worst of all though, is the fact that if you use MSFS Legacy interaction mode, all of the knobs and switches are reversed. That in itself has hangared this plane for me. Reports of this on the Discord have met some resistance ("We did it as per the SDK!" and "It's called LEGACY for a reason" - in other words they don't think users should be using Legacy control mode). They have said they will take it up with Asobo but I'm not feeling confident based on official statements on the Discord that they did it this way deliberately. Why do all other addon mouse systems work fine with both Legacy and Focus/Lock ?I don't find the FSReborn Discord a friendly place at all. Raul is clearly overworked there and this results is some 'short' mannered responses. The AI bot is dreadful too. So yeah, I'm not feeling love for this plane (yet) for very specific reasons and not in any way related personally to the developer. May 26May 26 I won't comment on individual users feelings about the product and any perceived issues with how it flies. As a member of the beta team I can attest that every report of every issue is considered, debated (sometimes at length!), with rw pilot input and oft-times researching of technical documentation available to the team. Nothing is batted away off hand, there's always a rationale as to why something needs changing or not. Issues need to be verified, reproduced, analysed, determined to be a problem with the product, fixable within the SDK, and viable/prioritised accordingly. Raul himself is an absolute machine and demands the best obtainable fidelity. Personally my performance is well within my excellent hardware capabilities, but yes it is relatively demanding compared to some products. There's a reason for that though, the level of underlying complexity in the simulation is outrageous! Kevin Firth - AMD 9800X3D; Asus Prime X670E; 64Gb Cas30 6000 DDR5; RTX5090; AutoFPS

May 26May 26 Does anybody remember why we use Legacy. I know it was necessary at the time, but its been so long I cant remember the reason.I can only remember something only working if it was in legacy mode. It had nothing to do with shortcuts.Something about plane addon knobs not working maybe. Edited May 26May 26 by Ron Lefebvre Ron MSFS 2024 -Too many airplanes to name. Too many airports to name.

And I'm honest I hate the blue glow also but legacy is a PC thing only and therefore not the focus of Asobo. Its named legacy for some reason. DEVs have to trick around to get both interaction modes in sync. Otherwise there is no real reason to use legacy. Some still stick to it cause it was they way in p3d already with the tiny little arrows... In the end we flight simmers are bound to habits a lot sometimes and very reluctant to change :D@JYW a fix for legacy (where its technically possible) is worked on and confirmed already. And regarding the friendliness of the discord, its sadly the same as in every online medium, even the same here in this forum and even in this thread. Only we all together can try to make it a better place. Cheers T.

I was very careful with the brakes, only using a bit of pressure at speed and then increasing as I slowed down, and also letting off and back on as I got slow. Had plenty of runway left, so I think braking is just a matter of practice to find the sweet spot. Definitely not flying this bird into any runway less than 4000ft though!Short field capability was one of the reasons I was attracted to this plane as my first single-pilot capable jet as I love smaller local airports. But yep - I'm still getting used to things and so far have limited my destination airports to >5,000' of runway while I get my landings more refined. I made some changes to my pedals, lengthening the pedal adjustment to give the feel of longer travel on the brake axes and tweaking curves a bit. So far I like the changes as it felt like I had more control. But I'd still like to have "force feedback toe-brakes" 😆Landed last night at KGRB on rwy 18 (8,700') but used only about 1/3 of the runway with only moderate braking, so progress! I'm a RW pilot and have decades of simming experience and I like to try to fly in as realistic a manner as possible. A week into owning this one and I feel like I'm JUST beginning to get a decent feel for it. Sure I had reactions from my first flights (I was especially surprised with the ease of hand-flying from the get-go) but I knew I needed time to really get a feel for the model and that "feel" is still a work in progress. I'm not a jet guy IRL or the sim so of course that plays into things, but I find this true to at least some extent with every well-done plane in the sim, even those I'm familiar with IRL.Scott

I am currently using the button commands for trim up/down and am finding it more difficult than usual (as with other aircraft) to be able to trim this airplane out. I'm either adjusting too little or too much and it's a bit frustrating, especially on final approaches.I'm sure it must be easier using an axis for trim but due to current hardware constraints, on my end, it's not possible for the time being. May 26May 26 I did my first full flight with the Phenom last night. I used to fly the Aerobask one in X-Plane quite a bit and had been waiting a long time for it to show up in MSFS. Overall, my impressions are good. The flight model on this one feels about right...what I would expect. It's relatively nimble and has a 'single-pilot' feel to it. It doesn't have Along Track Offset (a limitation of the implementation of the G3000 done by Asobo) and it doesn't look like CSC is implemented (autothrottle-lite in cruise). But, there are a lot of little things that it does do. I was a bit surprised by the climb angle in FLC...15 degrees nose up. My landing was with a light headwind right on speed and it used less runway than the Longitude (Thrustmaster PENDULAR Rudder Pedals) normal braking....maybe 3500 feet? I did get a pretty big 'wobble' just before touchdown. I had cut power around the threshold which may be too soon. Researching this, seems most pilots pull power at 50' or less, though, the lower you pull power, the more float you get.If you want some great videos on how professional pilots fly it and the procedures they follow, what they think about, check out this channel...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5VqahmO1Oz4Some excellent stuff in there. Highly recommended. In terms of other things, I think the click spots could use some work. I have to 'search around' the switches and knobs for a place that works. The landing lights could be brighter. In VR, the EFB location causes some neck strain...be nice to see it moved forward to the front of the window.
