December 5, 201015 yr Couldn't resist the temptation, chief set has been ordered and I can't wait to get my reading glasses on Gavin Price
December 5, 201015 yr Wow printed manuals look very comprehensive! I imagine most NGX customers are going just use the PDF manuals though. Are all those manuals coming out as PDF? Will the PDF manuals only be available with the product or will they be downloadable separately (in advance) for free?If they will not be freely available, I would be happy to pay a fee to download the PDF manuals in advance of the NGX release. December 5, 201015 yr Hi Robert,Although I have CBT software and manuals for the 737, 757/767, I believe in supporting the main players that support my hobby. I may not agree with everything that is done in regards to flight simulation nor get along with everyone, but I do believe in supporting the people that are responsible for taking my flight sim experience to an even higher level of reality.I am proud to support PMDG with my purchase of the 737-NGX Chief Pilot's Flight Manual Set and look forward to the release of your B737-NGX.Thanks, and Happy Holidays. December 5, 201015 yr Im having difficulties ordering the captain set for the NGXI log in to my PMDG account, click shopping, select the captain set, it adds it to my shopping cart, hit checkout. and it constently keeps saying my shopping cart is empty. On occasion it takes me to the checkout page, but instead of the captain set manuals, it keeps putting the Jetstream for FSX as the product im purchasing. December 5, 201015 yr Author Commercial Member Captains-A few folks have asked questions regarding the completeness of the manuals and how it relates to the simulation, so I thought I would address that directly:For years PMDG has produced our own manuals, such as those for the PMDG 747-400 and the PMDG MD-11. With each product generation, our own manuals have included more and more content from the manuals actually shipped with the purchase of an real-live airplane.Now- I recognize that we've started a bit of a fad- and a few developers have taken to publishing the actual flight manual with their products- only to leave us, as customers, to discover that 50% or more of the content of the manual isn't simulated. At PMDG we do not subscribe to this practice- we strive instead to provide you with a simulation that is as complete as we can reasonably make it given the tools available.A few years ago we made a decision to take PMDG in a new direction- and this meant throwing out everything we had been doing to create simulations and starting anew... As I have mentioend a few times- this starting-over process has allowed us to sit down and map out exactly what we want a PMDG aircraft simulator to be... And we basically want a full fledged airline operation on your desktop computer. :( The PMDG 737-NGX will be the most complete simulation of a single airliner that we have ever produced... By a LONG margin. We are using tens of thousands of pages of documentation in the preparation of this simulation- and we think it will show in the final product.I anticipate that you should be able to sit down with the NGX- and flip open to just about any page in these manuals and find something that is reflected accurately in the simulator. (By accurately- I don't just mean that a light turns on- but that the logic behind it is working...)I hope that answers your question! Robert S. Randazzo PLEASE NOTE THAT PMDG HAS DEPARTED AVSIM You can find us at: http://forum.pmdg.com
December 5, 201015 yr That is the only reason I purchase the chief set so I really can't wait to check it out and go around everything inside :) I do believe there will still one manual missing from the package that I'll have to print though which is the PMDG manual, for installation (not so usefull :() but for all the options and configurations, the failures generator and such things ;) Aurelien Vandoorine

This means that the content of your manuals (my favorite to buy is the "PMDG 737-NGX Chief Pilot's Flight Manual Set") will axact describe 1:1 to the delivered system simulation of your upcoming 737NGX ? I want this really to know, because several hundreds of dollars just for manuals are really heavy and this is not mentioned to their weight... ;-)Regards Pascal Pascal-Antoin Ducardus
December 5, 201015 yr Robert,Are you going to be in a position to use an EU distributer for the flight manuals? I would love to get a set but I don't want to pay so much for international delivery. I am also very weary of the additional import tax and outrageous post office handling fee!Justin P Justin Paull
December 5, 201015 yr I got a little bit of sticker shock but none the less I'll keep an open mind. I will get the manual that suits best for the time being.:( Kenneth M."PUP"Craddock IIPC: Alienware Aurora R4 Intel I7-3820.....As for the rest is classified http://pup4ordfsxmore.blogspot.com/
December 5, 201015 yr So sorry, it'll not be for me ... I'm gonna have a new surgery on my back probably month.Robert, when are you coming to EU again ? I hope it'll not be Paderborn 'cause that's still nearly a year, :(. Peter Belgium Flightsimulator is not a simulation, it's a way of life ...
