April 22, 201313 yr Another one here with the sound problem. Have tried all sorts of things, to no avail; sound always cuts out about ten minutes into whatever I'm doing. Have even tried editing the sound config settings in mjc84.ini (which is what the sim's control panel does, btw), with no luck. Got the sound to come out of my tinny monitor speakers, at least! - but it still cuts out. I set it back to map to my SBZ card and headphones, so it doesn't annoy the neighbors and their dog. There better be a patch for this, it would be a real shame to have to send it back.
April 22, 201313 yr Hi, @Pict: Is it common on the Q400 to rim the aircraft before you start your takeoff run? Kind regards Martin
April 22, 201313 yr Did you click the WXR/Terrain button the the MFD panel? the MFD's only display terrain or WXR (not both together) and appear to default to terrain display. You need to toggle WXR on the MFD control panel after turning on the radar from it's own seperate control panel. That must be it then, thanks.
April 22, 201313 yr Hi, @Pict: Is it common on the Q400 to rim the aircraft before you start your takeoff run? Kind regards Martin Yup its common with any turboprop without counter rotating props actually. By default msfs does not simulate the prop effects that well, by going outside of the msfs model, majestic's q400 will show the more pronounced reactions you'll get in real life (and like real life the trims make life easier and prevents tired limbs :-D ) Best regards Xavier "If lightning is the anger of the gods, the gods are concerned mostly with trees." -- Lao Tse (6th Century BCE)
April 22, 201313 yr Still can't figure out why my pressurization warns me on takeoff and when I climb. What did I do wrong?
April 22, 201313 yr How to depart an airfield that doesnt have an sid?? Had to enter the ICAO code in the nav part to the nearest wpt.. but I would assume there is another way of selecting the runway for depart in the fpl menu page. Manual says nothing..
April 22, 201313 yr Still can't figure out why my pressurization warns me on takeoff and when I climb. What did I do wrong? Doors closed? Engine bleeds on? Cabin pressurization more selector set to auto? To quote the System Manual: "Sudden appearance of the cabin pressure warning light will most likely indicate the bleed selectors have been left OFF, or the system left in DUMP mode." April 22, 201313 yr Does anyone have Saitek TQ buttons working with the various light switches on this bird (landing, strobe, taxi, etc...)? I have the FSUIPC axis setup and working for all levers (send to FS as normal axis) and even my LUA Throttle reverser scripts are working. But, I can't get my normal FSUIPC assigned buttons to work the various lights. A FSUIPC assigned button is working the parking brake, so there are some things the model is recognizing as a standard FS button assignment. Can someone with a Saitek TQ using standard FS controls (not through FSUIPC) tell me if they can successfuly map a button to any of the lights - landing, taxi, strobe, etc? Anyone else using FSUIPC buttons and toggling the various lights? Thanks, Regards, Al Jordan | KCAE

April 22, 201313 yr @@RudiJG1 As I (attempted to) write, I have used other ways to insert my waypoint, and are now seeing if there is other ways to do it Thanks tho
April 22, 201313 yr Actually that brings up another question: Is it possible to create manual waypoints in this FMC? Or indeed, should it be possible with this particular model?
April 22, 201313 yr If you are looking for takeoff/landing data go to www.aurasim.com, its seems a side project for the m q400. Its a efb webbased site only aircraft at the moment id the q400, free btw. My Youtube Channel (P3D/FSX/X-Plane Videos and much more!)
April 22, 201313 yr Actually that brings up another question: Is it possible to create manual waypoints in this FMC? Or indeed, should it be possible with this particular model? Manual waypoints can be defined in the real deal, but I don't think that's possible with the current simulation, although I'm unsure about that and haven't tried yet. Wayne KlocknerUnited Virtual

To quote the System Manual: "Sudden appearance of the cabin pressure warning light will most likely indicate the bleed selectors have been left OFF, or the system left in DUMP mode." Checked all that and everything seemed okay, maybe it didn't like closing fs then opening it again without a computer restart. I'll try again my next flight. Thanks for the help.
