MS FSX vs DT FSX SE: The Conclusive Performance Benchmark

Featured Replies

Why do some posters feel it necessary to tell others what  simulators they should use?

I'm sure JSkorna  is "big enough and ugly enough" to decide for himself.

Is FSX SE better than FSX with DX10 (Steve's fixer)?

Flightsim Store  - very good user support( my experience )

Could you give me your settings Jim ?

Ok, maybe I am blind, it's not listed in the top 5, top 10, best seller and searching "Steve", "fixer" etc show nothing???

I don´t really care for FSX SE. I my oppinion it´s just more or less FSX revamped with some tweaks (non of which me could not do yourselfes). Anyways, what´s the the thread opener? It reads "Banned" What happened?

Best regards, Steffen

I'm enjoying it, and placebo or not, it appears to me as smoother than I recall FSX was, almost 6 months ago when I last had it installed.

Also installed Steve's Fixer and am now in DX10 compatibility mode - even smoother and better graphics-wise for sure!

Texture Filtering Clamp

Texture Filtering -Quality High Quality

Everything else is Default. I will use DSR if I am using my projector and wall screen.

I don't think anyone is saying that at all... but on your observation... well.. beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

That's why it's still called FSX and not Flight Simulator 2014. DoveTail isn't promising anything revolutionary, but rather some under the hood enhancements that may prevent OOM errors as the OP as shown.

all about convenience with steam, the difference between the is not the reason to buy it. Just like having games on steam long term as you do upgrade desktops every couple years.

Bofajking has been banned?? I thought that he had done the FS community a nice service with this test. Presumably he was a previously banned member?
