Here is what I found out:

 

The new static aircraft thingy works at EGLL and EDDF - the Aerosoft hybrid airports I did for Laminar. It doesn´t work anywhere else (including KATL, the pics they showed were from a special build I made for testing).

 

So if you want to see how it is supposed to work (until b2 fixes this), go to Heathrow or Frankfurt...

At least you can SEE something....my B1 crashed twenty seconds into the load in routine.

Saw an fps drop here as well,

but I found that the " world detail distance" had gone up to "very high", where as I had it at "very low" before!

After I set it back to very low, my fps came back.

Hi seems to have added a bug in teh ADF, cant adjust the first digit via mouse or saitek panel. Seems to be an offset beteen the position to adjust an the actual digit moved. checked on carenado C337 and default baron

Exactly, sent a bug report about this early today.

So let me get this right, all the new stuff for 10.5 is broken plus some other new bugs...Not sure why to even release it if all the major features are still broken.

Nothing is broken in 10.50 because it's not out yet!

 

This is an opt-in Beta version. You're supposed to understand that things might break in a Beta. That's what it's for, so people can log bug reports. If you don't want things to break, then don't opt into the Beta. Just wait for the final release.

 

Edit to add: And this is probably why they don't enable the Betas on Steam.

The breakings are what make beta-flying fun.

Yes, besides ticking this box I found the static aircraft appearing depends on the "number of objects" selection level (which can be find to the left of the tick box).  If you select a level too low they seem to not appear.

MY FPS is wonderful! Only using default scenery but roads to extreme and objects to extreme, clouds 44% and getting 30 - 45 in built up areas. Autogen works really well as far as frame rate goes ... well around my home town anyhow.

 

This will be an incentive for me to do some more lego airports I think. Was flying VOZ Australia, but with the VOZ scenery my framerate PLUMMETS!

And can you tell us, why you are so excited about the old AutoGen? The new AutoGen wasn´t even installed in Beta 1 due to a bug in the installer.
