I actually found it fun that you have to manually adjust the speed, it felt like I was more hands on rather than just sitting back and doing nothing

See on the Direct To page, if you have an altitude constraint waypoint coming up, it should tell you what your rate of descent should be to get there. Using that in conjunction with the banana,  should meet your altitude. Course if you need to slow down at said waypoint, then you will need to get there a bit before to have time to meet the speed restriction if there is one.

Indeed. I think a lot of ppl start off with 737s and a320s and use a lot of automation.

Nothing wrong with that (each their own), but you may miss out on a bit of extra satisfaction that hand flying brings.

Its fun to see the amazement of ppl however ;) "what, no autothrottle!?"

So guys how is this aircraft, worth a punt?  I've watched a bunch of videos and it looks tempting.  I like to fly routes 2 hours or less and I'm so missing my trusty Q400 in v4.

If anyone has the Feelthere ERJ145s then this should not be a problem to fly (other than the enhanced complexity over the FT model). Same type of AP, same type of fun...

Absolutely 100% worth it in my opinion. I'm not usually one for Aerosoft aircraft, and I love it. Very well done.

I agree loads of fun, once I got used to having to do everything that I used to rely on the auto pilot to do I've grown to love it.

It has some bugs yes. I wouldn't say "very buggy".

Im finding it fine for the most part. After a couple more service packs I'm sure it will be even better

I'm enjoying it, a few very minor issues here and there but overall a great aircraft that I'm confident will only get better.

very buggy at this point!

Read insrructions. Learn to follow instructions, and learn (learn) how this aircract operates.. and all YOUR bugs will disappear.

I just watch this video tutorial and this simmer uses the direct to function with altitude restrictions and speed for descent.  This makes a lot of sense to me.

There is a verified CTD bug so it's not all the instructions.
