Exactly what I experience also. Everything works like the FTX3 with the added features of Orbx Central ( plus you can purchase new products easily). Layering of addon sceneries whether its scenery.cfg or addon.xml. is paramount. Or else you will encounter issues ( like I had myself) like products not showing up ( Orbx Buildings HD - still default) , elevation issues around airports ( Orbx Central Rockies) . Addon.xml needs some major fixing . Once that is fixed and insertion points are kept, Orbx Central will be great!
September 4, 20196 yr I have a feeling when Orbx releases the next update - LM may also release something as one of the bugs is tied to LM to fix. I can only hope How I Evaluate Third Party Sim Addon Developers Refined P3Dv5.0 HF2 Settings Part1 (has MaddogX) and older thread Part 2 (has PMDG 747)
September 4, 20196 yr Great stuff Benjamin J You ran Central 3 and 4 in tandem till 3 no longer needed? Sounds the way ahead for me Migration and installing into a library outside the cfg can wait I might wait for next Central 4 update before jumping in! xxd09
September 4, 20196 yr Once the next update is out, I may decide at that time to take the plunge and update to Central 4, as long as one can select the scenery cfg. within the sim environment.
September 5, 20196 yr Quote Of course you can wonder if there's any benefit to making the jump if you're not going to use any of the new features - that's something for everybody to make up their minds on. The main benefit would be to purchase new ORBx software. As far as I am aware, that can't be done with FTX Central 3. September 5, 20196 yr I lost faith with Orbx when they reacted very badly to Froogle's perfectly valid criticisms of their website wording a few months ago. An apology from Orbx to Froogle was called for but unfortunately was not forthcoming. They seem to have lost their way recently, and their products are not worth the prices IMO. I'm not going to install Orbx Central 4 in its current state or purchase any more scenery until they sort themselves out.
September 5, 20196 yr I‘m still on FTX3 cause I‘m afraid with will not work with Lorby Addon Manager but as I read here, where can I choose between scenery.cfg or xml? I will not migrate outsite the sim and also new purchased will go to the P3D folder so is this than automticaly the scenery.cfg? Kind Regards Patrick

You mean their full LC regions with tens of enhanced airports or their new orthos regions priced at 34 EUR that you actually pay half-price (17 EUR) during their sales, their airports between 20 to 25 EUR ( 10 to 12.5 EUR during the sales) are overpriced ? September 15, 20196 yr I used to use MR (paid version) but had issues about a year ago that they could not fix. Time zone difference for support was no fun either. Moved to Paragon Hard Disk Manager Advanced and have had no further issues. Cheers, Mark
September 15, 20196 yr Backup and Restore (Windows 7) is available in Win 10, is free, and you can use it to make disk (system) images. I create a system disk image EVERY time before MS updates, and before other major changes to my system. To date, I have used these system disk images to recover at least 4x from issues that were negatively affecting my system. One recovery was after a Win 10 feature update (to 1803 I think), back to 1709. Kind Regards, i7-6700k • Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD5 • 32GB DDR4 2666 • EVGA FTW ULTRA RTX3080 12GB
