August 23, 20196 yr I just want to know that ORBx Central will leave all of my other Scenery Library entries alone, and that I will be able to disable those ORBx scenery packages that I do not need for specific flights. August 23, 20196 yr Guys is it best to uninstall Orbx Central V3 only? Or should I uninstall all of my products like Vector etc Vernon Howells
August 23, 20196 yr In my opinion it doesn't make any difference if you keep FTX Central v3.... I elected to delete it and I've suffered no consequences. Don't know why you ask if you should uninstall any products.... why? Don't uninstall anything. Installing Orbx Central v4 does nothing to your already installed scenery, and doesn't change the way you can disable products if you so desire (I don't know why you'd do this but it isn't changed with v4). The key to keeping it simple is not migrate any existing scenery to the Library. Orbx recommends that you don't migrate existing installed scenery and I don't know why you'd want to since there is no problem leaving it alone. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Install Central 4, create a Library in the installation process and use it only for new products. Simple. Edited August 23, 20196 yr by downscc Dan Downs KCRP
August 23, 20196 yr Thanks for that reply Some people seem to have their Scenery order changed on installing FTX Central 4 Obviously not in your case Reassuring! xxd09

Working like a charm and very impressed with the new UI Vernon Howells

Installed everything into the "library" option with the exception of FTX Global Base since it does NOT support the library option. I did NOT install Vector as it was my understanding more work is need there before it can "follow" the library process. I was a little disappointed that FTX Global Base didn't have an option to go the "library" route ... it was the primary reason I wanted to use FTX Central 4. Cheers, Rob. I'm close to doing this, for several versions of P3D, I have updated piecemeal (and also installed various graphical add-ons at different times) I've noticed that after un-installing different 3rd party add-ons there are remnants of almost all of them (i.E. envishade, etc.) I'm assuming that if I un-install P3D and make sure I have un-installed all FTX sceneries and areas (then un-installing FTX central version 3) I can install 4.06 and can install all that I own and put it in "the library". Is that a correct assumption??. Leaves lots of stuff to reinstall, but I think I have a few days in which to do it. Of course the main thing is to use the full installer of P3D for a clean (as opposed to "piecmeal") install. (I don't intend to re-install Global Base or Vector (I use UTX and GEP3D). August 28, 20196 yr I, I, I does not help me, me, me; on hold until it's all sorted out with Vector working and the ability to install Global outside the sim. Reading the forums today it appears that more tweaking is being done by the developers: it will get there!

You have entered the promotion! You must make at least one purchase during the promotion period to be eligible for the prize. Even if you're the chosen winner, unless you've bought something during this promotion, you're SOL. As far as I can recall, I've never seen a giveaway promotion that requires a purchase...at least in the U.S. As a cynical, contrary person, I will probably NOT buy, specifically because the promotion requires it! i7-6700k • Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD5 • 32GB DDR4 2666 • EVGA FTW ULTRA RTX3080 12GB

August 29, 20196 yr I've stopped my ORBX purchases anyway. IMO ORBX Central is too much monitoring and sending data to Google, Amazon and others. Once accessed, many OC connections remain open during the whole Windows session. I'm also not interested giving them my CC data, they are not PayPal or Amazon. August 29, 20196 yr A bit OTT. They are not the CIA. As regards the contest: seems reasonable to me. Just moves the emphasis to their customers as opposed to any Tom, Dick or Harry ( or to be PC, Harriet). Intel i7 6700K @4.3. 32gb Gskill 3200 RAM. Z170x Gigabyte m/b. 28" LG HD monitor. Just to clear up the misinformation in that reply: 1. Quote many OC connections remain open during the whole Windows session. Orbx Central has an option to either minimise to the system tray or close when the X is clicked. Unsurprisingly, if minimise to the system tray is selected, it minimises to the system tray and continues to run. Equally unsurprisingly, if this option is deselected, when the X is clicked, the program closes. It should not be too difficult to read the User Guide and choose a setting that the customer prefers. In case it is, here is an image of the setting required to ensure that Orbx Central opens and closes only after customer input. 2. Quote I'm also not interested giving them my CC data, they are not PayPal or Amazon. Orbx do not hold or require any customers' "CCdata". The transactions are made though Stripe, a perfectly viable alternative to PayPal Edited August 29, 20196 yr by Reader
August 29, 20196 yr You could win the contest but if your having issues with the "New Central" you cannot use what you just won🚫👴
